Just renewed our season tickets but unsure how many games we'll actually get to given the way that broadcasters move them to midweek without a thought or care for travelling fans. Weekends are fine for us but don't know how many we'll get.

Not sure if there are any stats to show how many times teams got moved last season in the championship for broadcasting.

Broadcast selection or not, there will be many midweek games. Compared to PL football, we have 8 more matches in the season. The season finished earlier than the PL (by 2/3 weeks) but only starts one week before.

So in theory, we have an extra 8 or so midweek rounds and I think the Easter weekend normally sees two matches. Pretty sure there are always Championship games on European football (CL/EL/ECL) weeks.

Would say at least 10 midweek matches in the season plus bank holiday games and weekend games that move to Friday (not sure there are many Monday games anymore???).

A fair few.

Mainly when PL games have no Europe, so their games are usually on Saturday/Sunday.

They'll shoe-horn us and Leeds in the most, I think.

At least we're less likely to have random Thursday games anyway!

I'm now doubting whether it really was worth renewing. They will have to cope without me for a big portion of games. All a bit shite, to be honest.

Obviously that includes away matches but even so, half of that is 5 games, plus then a few Friday/Monday games.

I reckon of our 23 home games, we might see 13-15 on a Saturday/Sunday/Bank holiday.

Wasn’t it originally moved from Saturday to Friday? Or am I making that up?

It was. Moved for TV, now moved for the Cup.
