What happened to the ozone layer?

What happened to the ice age?

What happened to global warming?

Is this just a huge scam instigated by governments for control?

You don’t have to be a genius to realise that perhaps burning 2 Trillion tonnes of fossil fuels in such a short space of time (250 years since the Industrial Revolution began) is going to have some sort of an impact on our climate

That’s just burning fossil fuels, that doesn’t include that vast amounts of damage we’ve done to the oceans and the ecosystems we’ve devastated which also has a huge impact on the climate

these aren’t fallacy’s, these are studies and constant modernised challenged scientific studies that have been stretched, prodded, probed, anylised, discussed for several decades and the best scientists still come to the same conclusion, that it’s not a scam.

... this only works as an argument if the person you're responding to actually trusts the scientific method, empiricism and peer review, mon ami.

If that were universally the case, then just the second post on page one of this thread that I posted three and a half years ago would have been the end of the debate.

Instead, we have 66 pages and counting.

Anyone else feeling we're going to get some unusually big storms this winter?

Could be a perfect storm (see what I did there) with climate change and el nino driving them.

I reckon we'll be on Storm Zenith by February!

The recovery of the ozone layer is one of the few examples in human history where our species actually worked together to achieve something that we desperately needed to.

...and because the solution was worked so well, now people deny a solution was ever required at all.

Isn't that perverse?

Absolutely right.

And one of the bigger drawbacks of the internet is that it's much easier for those folks to communicate, organise and create a voting bloc on matters like this.

The world took the necessary action to eliminate the ozone layer.

It left the earth some 12,000 years ago

Nothing we are still contributing to it

Obviously,  because the 200+ governments are famous for getting along so well. In any case if they were capable of such control,  do you really think they would limit it to climate.  One of the dumbest takes in all this debate.

Id quite like the poll to be repeated now to see if there's any change.

It would be interesting to see, but national polling at the moment does actually follow this poll rather closely on this issue.

Which, as long as the 72% can guide political policy on the matter, isn't all that bad.
