Have Ireland fallen asleep all of a sudden? :P

I think the players who know they'll either definitely or probably play in the next round might have thoughts around not getting injured.

Well worked 2nd try for Scotland to give them some credit.

What a shower of shit from England, If we manage to reach the semis we'll get absolutely battered

probably the worst performance I've seen of England since I watch them (for 25 years)

If you thought the defeat against Fiji this summer was embarrassing, then last night game was utterly shameful

Know the draw is lop sided but the positive is that I reckon we'll get 4 close QFs, I dont think any will be won by more than 2 scores.

Cracking game this so far.

Quite end to end isnt it? Just when you think Argentina will pull away Japan come back

Looks like they're going to have to do it again now. Argentina brutal coming forward.

Hoping Japan can do the business here.

I'm guessing so are Wales in preference to the unpredictable prowess and physicality of the Pumas. I do suspect though, that they can comfortably despatch either.

The way Japan are defending I cant see Argentina not scoring again so Japan will probably need 15+ points to win. Tough ask at this stage.

Hmm.

I'd back us to beat either on current form. What worries me about Japan is that we still have this habit of dropping a bit to the level when we play lower ranked sides. We made Georgia and Portugal more complicated than they needed to be.

If we got drawn in to trading silly rugby broken field play with Japan it could bite us.

Our game, now Gats is back, is based on a foundation of solid defence. We've made more tackles than anyone else in this tournament by a country mile. We're the anti Scotland.

I think, fingers crossed, we'll have enough to snuff out Argentina and more discipline and self control to outscore them.

Unfortunate for Japan, really. Looked mostly great going forward but their defence wasn't good enough.

Do expect Wales to beat them, they do everything at least a little bit better than Argentina do.

Will there be more Welsh or Argentine fans in the stadium for the quarters?

My best mate has been in Nantes for both of these. Unbelievably jealous.

He said it felt like 70% Welsh yesterday. He was also pretty drunk mind, there were a lot in the crowd cheering for Georgia (neutrals I'd imagine) and booing the ref giving Wales stuff.

I think there's a lot of Argies but still less than they sound because they just make so much noise.
