One of the best pieces of content the club has produced! I was a teenager during that era, one of the best ever times to follow the club. Made me a bit emotional watching that!

I really enjoyed it, he just made me laugh O’Neill with his dry humour. Great to see Tags and Matty on it asking the questions. They only needed to prepare about 5 questions for a 90 minute interview.

Absolutely hilarious when he was doing the draw and Chappers said "Martin are you talking to the balls" and MON quickly replied "it's better than talking to you" 🤣

Well we did throw our toys out our prams when things were going badly before the run that took us in to the playoffs. He'd only been in the job a few weeks when we run riot at Filbert Street.

Not seen it all, but kinda liked Elliott stumbling over the N Ireland / Rep of Ireland issue. He was dying to ask which he felt wedded to and if still N Ireland, why he chose to then manage in the South. Taggs enjoyed his discomfort too!! 😂

I could listen to MON for hours, he really is a very charismatic and intelligent speaker. It's very clear his man management was a key factor in his success with us; and the respect shown by his former players is testament to the man.

 

I was sad when he left, but understood the pull of Celtic, and was pleased for him how well he did there, and subsequently at Villa too.

 

Great to hear stories about the late 90s, real characters - it was the era I started getting into supporting City - and that was a fantastic and successful time - overshowed understandably by the last 10 years, but history will rightly be very kind about his tenure.

 

Legend and one of our greatest managers.
