The midlands are shockingly underrepresented, why are tinpot NI even considered for getting any games in the first place

This whole Casement Park stuff is a bit of a shame for the Euros. But don't understand why they didn't just build a new ground if redevelopment was an issue

Could have sold off both sites including Windsor Park and had something worthwhile

That's the problem.

Casement Park is GAA owned - Windsor Park is Irish FA owned. At the crux of it, they were never going to agree spending big money on something which solely benefits GAA in the long run.

The GAA are loaded, don't see what they couldn't fork out the rest after the UK government match the amount put into Windsor.

Never mind, wonder what the new pick will be?

More games for the other chosen grounds

Ha. That's got them nervous as hell. Anything that gets UEFA or FIFA worried is probably a good thing.

There's absolutely no way they'd ban English clubs from competition. They're the ones the Asian market pays to see.

Don’t think UEFA like the idea of the Government trying to help regulate and control the way football is going in this country with an independent regulator.

I wonder why ?

They don’t want their big boys reigned in.

They’ve always been no to government involvement of the FAs. Likes of Greece been warned with sanction before. IOC is supposed to be on the same basis as well

Yes that is true but I thought the regulator was going to be Independent to avoid that problem.

Been mooted for a while under the Tories - have UEFA just noticed ?

Think it’s a bit crap that the only English Quarter Final as well as both Semi Finals and Final are at Wembley. Thought it should have been shared round a bit more.

Compare that with Euro 2024 when the Semi Finals were in Dortmund and Munich whilst the final was Berlin

I guess the difference is that was in one country but yes at Euro 96 old Trafford had a semi final I remember.

Is there limit on how many stadiums can be used. I mean i can think of five more that could easily been added.

Elland Road - Leeds

Murrayfield - Edinburgh

Stadium of Light - Sunderland

Amex Stadium - Brighton (if they can up the capacity)

Another Midlands stadium

There must be a limit but I know originally Casement Park in Belfast was chosen as a host stadium but when they realised it wasn’t going to be redeveloped in time they decided not to pick a replacement stadium.

That seemed so odd to me given the amount of great stadiums we already have available. Celtic Park, King Power (not bias but the Midlands does seem a bit overlooked), Amex and a redeveloped Elland Road would have made most sense
