"This games turning into abit of a basketball game" - Said as if it's a bad thing.

Why? That's exactly what you want! Especially as a neutral.

Far too much talk and emphasis on "control".

Our fans are very contradictory about this. On the one hand they say the game is too easy/ dull yet meltdown when the opposition have a shot.

Really get irritated when a manager talks about their "philosophy"

Who does this exactly?  Aren’t you basically referring to a meme?

Ok, you are probably right about that.

It's media invention.

But playing style being referred to as such it's still cobblers.

It's still said by commentators but my pet hate is how they imply professional footballers stop supporting a team when they become a man..."who he supported as a boy" or "his boyhood club." It's as if because a player is playing for a different club they can't bring themselves to just say "he's a Newcastle fan" as though everyone will be horrified.

On a similar vein when a player supports a particular team, they say "he'd love to score today against his boyhood club, where he used to stand on the terraces." Er no. Actually the last team he'd want to score against.

Good point. Never met a Wolves fan. Not once in 41yrs.

Nor a Stoke fan.

I am friends with Terry Conroys nephew … he by association is unfortunately a Stoke fan

Pockets of space, why can't it be lots of space or small amounts, is a pocket of space in between, but is then suggestive depending on how big or deep your pockets are.
