Plus toilet Graffiti most often sexually related or about peeing and pooing (purposely polite) also often misleading.

This is a chip pan. Any youngsters won't know how much of a normal thing this was growing up 🙂 lard and beef dripping mixed together, mum's doing home cooked chips usually with fried eggs for tea.
Probably looks disgusting to some now but to us, this was a lush treat to look forward to!
Who remembers home cooked chips in the chip pan? 🙂

I still do chips that way and have a large chip pan in the cupboard full of fat. It's mainly just lard but also some goose fat from topping it up. I've had it for donkeys years and won't cook them any other way.

I did egg and chips in it last weekend actually.

Just the pan, or pan and fat?

Anyway, I guess it's a nice romantic treat for when your cousin comes round.

A memory for me too. I wrote it on a bog wall at Gateway Grammar School IIRC.

I think we've already established that the Bear has quite niche West Midlands tastes.

Not me. The eggs are done in a separate frying pan.

Though my mum and dad used to just chuck them in the chip fat. I hated them because they were so greasy and disfigured.

Chips at home were always far better than the chip shop version. In fact they still are, but who wants to smell the home out with the aroma of frying chips?

Memory Lane U.K

May be a black-and-white image of child, trampoline and street

knew a place called Yesterday, Where once I used to live.
Nobody there would turn away Their time, they'd always give.
Everyone looked out for you ,As you did the same for them,
In that place called Yesterday, I can still remember when.
People never had anything much What they did have, it was shared.
They always waved and gave a smile, That's how we knew they cared.
We used to call it mucking in, That's what it was all about.
It was easier to help each other When all you had was nowt.
Now I live here in the Present, In a street of those unknown,
Whose life is so much easier they keep it close to home.
Yes, I was raised in Yesterday Where we always had respect.
Here in this place called Present I find it suffering from neglect.
