Super_horns Posted 9 May 2025 Posted 9 May 2025 Barnet’s last 3 National League titles have come in 2005, 2015, 2025. So 2035 is theirs then. 2
David Hankey Posted 9 May 2025 Posted 9 May 2025 Many congratulations to Anstey Nomads who beat Loughborough Students 4-1 to lift the Leicestershire Senior Cup for the second successive year. A magnificent victory on VE Day, how very appropriate. 1

Heathrow fox Posted 11 May 2025 Posted 11 May 2025 Congratulations to Aldershot on winning the FA Trophy today.Shame it came at the expense of a fairy tale My thoughts are with the good people of Aldershot and Farnham who I am sure are getting right royally rat arsed this evening
CosbehFox Posted 15 May 2025 Posted 15 May 2025 Speculation on Leicester Road continues to build as Rugby Town get increasingly confident they will be reprieved Anyway non-league divisional line-ups out at noon
HowardsBulletHeader Posted 15 May 2025 Posted 15 May 2025 Barwell have apparently "stayed up" by virtue of most PPG across all step 3 relegations, big news for them if so.

They have. Hednesford & Rushall gone Northern rather than Southern Central. Bury, Needham, Worcester & Real Bedford into Southern Central. Coalville stayed in UCL 1 with Notts & Derbys clubs (and a derby v Grace Dieu) rather than going into the MFL where the Leics clubs have remained. UCL South looks incrediblye strong - Atherstone, Nuneaton, Aylestone, Hinckley & Rugby. Edited 15 May 2025 by CosbehFox 1
Leicesterpool Posted 15 May 2025 Posted 15 May 2025 Boro v Atherstone... police leave cancelled 😆 just hope its not the same day as the ball game.

Certainly the farcical side of non league when all the end of season excitement counts for nothing with reprieve's.

I think situation like this special play off should be arranged the team who lost the play off final from the league below vs highest ranked relegated team. Settles it better then. 2
StanSP Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 Just seen Bedford have been put on National League North. Some long trips ahead! And Oxford City also in the North Section...

Leicesterpool Posted 20 May 2025 Posted 20 May 2025 One little thing that may frustrate scunthorpe is that in two seasons they couldn't win the national north... had to rely on play offs. Shows that league is tough. 1

Shows that league is tough. As a regular NL North attendee these past 4 seasons, I can definitely agree that the league is always wide open and almost everyone has the ability to beat their opponent on the day. On the opening day I watched Scunthorpe shred my team Brackley last season, King's Lynn played some superb football to win 1-0 in December, Buxton utilised their left winger to a fine standard to take the win and even Radcliffe Boro outplayed us but we we still won the league. Kidderminster looked like they had won the league when they beat us end of March, just 3 weeks before the end of the season. Seeing football played honestly and with a fairly level playing field compared to the PL is a real treat these days. Anyone that gets the chance to go to NL North or South will be in for a pleasant surprise On a selfish note, I'm chuffed Scunny got promoted as my wife is from that area so when she wants to visit people I can plan our visit with the Brackley away game Edited 20 May 2025 by FoxesFan#1

Actually works better for all of them including Merthyr as a nation we really underestimate travelling times East to West or viceversa. Oxford don't mind it because they can tap into Birmingham based down the M40 like Brackley do/did. Bedford can use the M1 to the same effect but I do think the South would be better for travelling as a whole. As for Merthyr, they've got four really long trips up to the North-East but the trips up to Manchester & Liverpool are fairly straightforward. If they went South, long trips to 3 grounds, another 3 East of the M25 and a further 3 East side of London. Feeling with Merthyr fans is when you look at the detail, the North is slightly better. Plus Hereford & Kidderminster which is helpful for crowds. They will bring more than Weston for example 2
