What's he said?

Is it just in response to all the vile abuse he gets?

I'm not defending him, I couldn't care less about him. But fans need to learn to take it as much as they give it to fans sometimes.

Calling people from Shrewsbury inbreds on social media then a few weeks in Birmingham pointing to its pro ira tattoo. Knowing its city that suffered horrible terrorist attack.

I get a dont wanna wear a poppy, but he needs to remember where he earns his money, the country hes played most of his career and the country where he lives. Sometimes you need to be professional and walk away, not fuel the fire further.

If he doesn't like the abuse he gets then dont play in the English league, im sure many rep irish clubs would love to sign him.

Down in League Two, Notts County striker Alassana Jatta is being chased higher up the pyramid. Plymouth have lodged a £750,000 bid but his current employer are holding out for more than £1m. Portsmouth and Bolton are also monitoring the situation.

Can't see Darren Ferguson lasting much longer at Peterborough.  Thrashed 5-1 at Lincoln.

He'll be back there in a few years.

26 points from the last 30 for Orient. Absolutely flying.

Been saying it for weeks but if we go down and are looking for a young, up and coming manager who is on the right trajectory, plays the way many like and is used to working without the riches of the EPL, Richy Wellens would be a shout.

Agreed. I expect us to be in the Football League for a while so may need a few managers. He is clearly very capable. I wasn't his biggest fan as a player but is showing to be an impressive coach.

I more think someone who could hopefully grow with us and be with us for a while. You’re probably right about a number of managers but it’d be good if we could go for someone like RW who would see us as a step up but likely not be dashing off quickly.

Orient flying!

Great to see now after a tough start. Going to be that team that flies into the play offs.

Always got time for Wellens, such a good player for us and always spoke well about football.

I hope they don't get mullered by Man City in the cup and then that derail their momentum.

Salford had similar.
