cisono Posted 14 December 2005 Share Posted 14 December 2005 From the OS: Morris Making Progress Lee Morris took another major step on his comeback from injury when he participated in a behind closed doors friendly against Boston United at the Belvoir Drive training ground today. A treacherous run of injuries has meant that Morris has started just two games since joining the Foxes from Derby County in February 2004. But after spending the last 11 months on the sidelines, the 25-year-old striker finally took to the field once again against the Pilgrims, playing the opening 30 minutes of the contest. City boss Craig Levein said: "I am just happy to see Lee out there playing once again. There is no doubt that he has got ability - let's not forget he was transferred for £2 million earlier in his career. "He's certainly no mug, but he has just had a horrendous time with injuries. To have played for half an hour will have done him the world of good." Didn't know that!!!

lookwhaticando Posted 14 December 2005 Share Posted 14 December 2005 He probably scored an own-goal that's why the OS hasn't told us the score

Thracian Posted 14 December 2005 Share Posted 14 December 2005 Wasn't Akinbiyi transferred for £5m once? Drop leaf tables that were £140 are now worth £30, if you can find a buyer. Times change and so do values. We'll see how good he is now - if and when he plays.
Blue Arrow Posted 14 December 2005 Share Posted 14 December 2005 I saw him against Crewe last season, he didn't look bad, but nuthing special. Betteer than the lump though
Solihullfox Posted 14 December 2005 Share Posted 14 December 2005 If this guy can get fit over the next few weeks (and more importantly stay injury free on a more long term basis) he can be a real nuisance with his speed and finishing capabilities. Morris has/had real potential and could be like signing a new player - if he was fit and firing on all cylinders we should give him a new reduced contract and see how he was after a proper pre season.
