The club congratulating on Twitter on Josh King getting in England U19s. Only to realise it’s a Fulham player of the same name.

They really need to Czech their records.

So Alves hasn't played a minute of football all season , seems so strange , could understand if he was on the bench for the men's squad but he's not , what a waste

The Leicester City Under-18s were beaten 4-1 by Leeds United in the U18 Premier League Cup on Saturday afternoon.

After a promising start to the 2024/25 season, in which the young Foxes went unbeaten in four U18 Premier League games, the Under-18s are now three games without a win, last seeing victory away at Chelsea.

Things got started well for City at Thorp Arch Training Ground, with Kirsten Otchere handing the visitors an early lead two minutes in, assisted by Jeremy Monga, but saw themselves 2-1 down by the break with goals from Joshua McDonald and Lleyton Brown.

The change in momentum continued after the break, with Joe Billet and Louie Dudley extending the hosts' lead with 50 minutes on the clock.

Currently bottom in Group B after two games, Leicester return home in a couple of weeks time when they face Fulham on Saturday 19 October (12pm BST kick-off) in league action.

The details...

City: Marson; Jacklin, Diallo, Lawrence, Khela; Page, Dyke; Owusu (Aideed 67'), Monga, Omobolaji; Otchere.

Unused subs: Manyumba, Digham, Lawrence, de Lisle.

Goal: Otchere, 2'

Quite surprised the U18s have dropped off recently. Possibly doesn't help that Evans has moved up pretty much all the while with the U21s and Hutchinson has been injured for over a month now.

its a quirk of injuries this ended, Hamza would have been there, Stolarczyk probably would still be number 2 but for his ankle op, the only academy player I thought might have been in the squad last weekend was McAteer and we had 2 wingers and a 10 on the bench without him

Will Alves not being good enough for the u21s or a place on the first team bench either.

we started 1 number 10 and had a second on the bench, we weren't going to have a 3rd in the squad
