So from the numbers you're giving there someone from a standing start now could catch you up at a rate of about 10 points a season.

You're on 700 odd points so it'll take 70 seasons for someone to catch up from today.

This system quite literally turns P1 into a dead man's shoes club.

The issue is the season tickets being given 50 points per year, and them keeping the full 50 points for ever. If you became a season ticket holder 3 years after the start of 50 points being given out, you would be doing well to have caught a season ticket holder who has never been to an away game, by now. That 7 or so years of being a season ticket holder and going to loads of away games. I think the fairest way to do it is for season ticket points, and away match points to lose value with each passing season. That way, you still see some benefit of being a long standing season ticket holder, but recent attendance is weighted better....

Absolutely.

How long have the club been 'looking into' this? 6 or 7 years now? lol

Not sure when the current system came in tbh but yeah ever since the demand shot up people have been pointing out the flaws and obvious ways to make it more fit for purpose.

But the emails just go to Jim, I doubt very much that this has hit anyone's radar above him.

It won’t even be that much as only probably 10 games will reach the ‘all STH’ bracket.

Plus it'll take a good 4/5 seasons for a new fan to get a season ticket, in that time people have raked another 200/250 points from doing nothing. So add another 20/25 years there.

Personally I think it would be great if after every season it just gets reset based on the previous seasons attendance.

P1 15+
P2 10-14

P3 5-9

P4 All STH.

Or something along those lines. And that’s from someone who is and has been P1 for a long time.

I'm sure I read that's what happens with Chelsea.

I don't think it's a bad idea.

Hoping this makes the Friday sale as friends are in 570 bracket but not holding out much hope with it being the first away, London and also bank holiday weekend.

Just do what England have done for years. Perfectly reasonable points system that clears after previous cycles. Also only get a point when ticket is scanned through the turnstiles etc… ID would also sniff out those who just buy and sell on for the points as well.

I think that's pretty much the system, the Club used to use up to about 10 years ago.   Until they brought in the crappy system, we have now.

What bracket do we think this will sell out at?

I reckon 570+. Low allocation, first away, Bank Holiday. Although the last time we went should have put anyone off going again!!!

Ausden Clark leaving at 10:00, an hour after the club buses. I hope this isn’t laying down a marker for the season as it’s great how AC normally leave ample time for wandering around and boozing.

It was with 3 STH brackets, above 13 for 1 I think, 7-12 for 2 and the rest in 3.

They did mess about with it one season where you got double away points for a midweek game at eg Barnsley, then I think it was 5 points an away and 10 for one of those, that system ended and we went back to the above until 2014.

I am fairly sure they carried over your history from the championship season, as the away priority scheme started then as well and if you’d been to almost all the aways previous season you got invited onto it and I have to say it was a good system until they dropped it and just put it in front of P1, I left it then as no point being on it if I’ve got to log on to buy.

The future for aways will be NFT before long with trials this season I’ve heard.

I’d happily go back to the 3 tier STH cats based on only previous season even though I am still P1, I think the history thing going back now a decade is too much.

Bought tickets, so which spoons in London the leicester fans going to takeover ;) Leicester Square surely too small.

Interesting enough QPR are playing Plymouth the same day at 12.30pm... possible for two games in one day, though leaving tight.

Current points system is from 2014/2015, first season in the Prem.

Yes but as my screen shot above shows from the start of that season, the points were carried over from previous season to start with.
