Hitesh Posted 17 December 2005 Posted 17 December 2005
Stearman Starts
Richard Stearman is a surprise inclusion in the starting line up for the Championship clash against Crewe Alexandra at the Walkers Stadium. Nils-Eric Johansson had widely been expected to take the place of the suspended Paddy McCarthy in the centre of the Leicester defence. But illness has forced the Swedish international out of the game, leaving Stearman to fill the void at the back. Alan Sheehan makes a return at left-back, while Elvis Hammond and Iain Hume continue in attack. Former Quorn striker Luke Varney is named on the bench for the visitors. City: Douglas, Maybury, Stearman, Gerrbrand, Sheehan, Sylla, Gudjonsson, Kisnorbo, Smith, Hume, Hammond. Subs: Williams, Dublin, de Vries, Tiatto, Hughes. Crewe: Turnbull, Tonkins, B Jones, Moses, Foster, Lunt, S Jones, Vaughan, McCready, Higden, Roberts. Subs: Tomlinson, Bell, Varney, Suhaj, Rodgers.
davieG Posted 17 December 2005 Posted 17 December 2005 Team City: Douglas, Maybury, Stearman, Gerrbrand, Sheehan, Sylla, Gudjonsson, Kisnorbo, Smith, Hume, Hammond. Subs: Williams, Dublin, de Vries, Tiatto, Hughes. Interesting, very interesting: No Nissa to be seen Let's hope Stearman and Sheehan have good games
davieG Posted 17 December 2005 Posted 17 December 2005 we can win if douglas dont play As he's the only fit keeper I think we could guarantee a right stuffing for us if he didn't play.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 17 December 2005 Posted 17 December 2005 Team City: Douglas, Maybury, Stearman, Gerrbrand, Sheehan, Sylla, Gudjonsson, Kisnorbo, Smith, Hume, Hammond. Subs: Williams, Dublin, de Vries, Tiatto, Hughes. Interesting, very interesting: No Nissa to be seen Let's hope Stearman and Sheehan have good games Sh it! We'll concede then.
