And yet he's being hunted down anyway because we were awful and conceded 5 goals.

When you're as bad as we are I don't think you can really select what competitions you want to perform in.

He's damd if he does and damd if he doesn't.

I'm not saying we can pick which competition to perform in, more like I'd rather have our better players to keep us in the league.

I'd rather play the team we played last night and save the "better" players to keep us up.

Hopefully we get a result at Ipswich with those rested players. No excuses. Ipswich are as bad as us so it is level playing.

Yes that was a laughable comment lol

I couldn't believe that comment, I wonder which fan he was talking about, certainly no-one from around here.   I was surprised when Cooper got angry and got booked but cynically I wondered if he did it on purpose to get supporters sympathy

God moaning, everyone! (Ish).  I missed this one, and...

*Checks lineup*  Yeah.

*Checks Result*  Not surprised.

Oh well.

*watches 'high'lights on Youtube while eating breakfast, anyway...*

*Sees more reasons to axe JJ :P & *facepalm @ Okoli for the last goal.

Certain changes were inevitable - imagine what would happen if Vardy (even at 37) or Mads had played and got injured. We have a biq squad but the problem is the lack of quality, whatever the abilities of the manager. Edouard can´t even start in the reserves - that says a lot

You make a good point about him being between a rock and a hard place. For some on here, he’ll be wrong no matter what he does. But they’re morons, who can’t see past their own prejudice.  I suspect the overwhelming majority who want him out actually want him to be successful. It’s about the club, not an individual. But there are so few glimmers of hope. We put out the bulk of the back-up players last night and I, for one, totally subscribe to that. I would have gone further and rested JJ and Caleb. We can’t then expect those ressies to then go to OT and rip it up. But we can expect the manager to have them organised. I watched Saints frustrate the heck out of Man City the other day by being organised. I watched Sheff Wed then do the same to saints by being hyper-organised. Is it so hard to expect our squad to be capable of doing something similar? It’s the lack of basics that are stripping away hope and breeding frustration.  Nobody with half a brain can expect more than lower-midtable this season. But, personally, I’m just not convinced he can get enough of a tune out of this squad to do that. 😞

Isn’t it strange how poorly-coached teams are so much more prone to making silly mistakes?

I suspect it’s more to do with the extra pressure the players feel knowing that every point will be vital for survival this season.
That’s more to do with player mentality and self belief, maybe Coops is failing in that area, unlikely however, as  he does have a reputation at being excellent in developing young players.

Does he? I assumed he did but I'm not sure he actually does

Bilal- Quality player. The little touches and flicks you can just tell he's got something about him.

Ayew- Once again proving he is a very usable player in a squad like ours

BDCR- Potentially may be worst player i have ever seen

Danny Ward- Fuvking shite

Soumare- Solid performance

Cooper's fuvked me right off playing an essential second string team when he knows fans are travelling and paying to watch it. Excuse of resting players after playing one game a week the whole season is a load of bollocks. Palace are in a worse position than us in the league and played their full team and beat Villa. Worst thing is i reckon we had the chance to get something against that United side yesterday with our full team out.

I'm not too concerned about the team, we had +60M worth of midfielders playing. It's not like we were playing all academy lads, although we should've instead of Bobby. Ward was the only one I wouldn't have played, GK should be able to play 3 games in a week. It's Cooper's set up that's the issue, even with a 1st team we're wide open at the back. The only reason we've not had more 5 goal thrashings is because of Mads.

I’m just not very confident of our team these days. We have some really good players mixed in with some really bad ones. It’s not a good balance. How on earth is Danny ward, sounare, Bobby corduroy playing yesterday? Just not good enough from Tommy cooper. He’s under pressure for good reason.

we knew Manu’s tails were gonna be up but did we have to bend over and take it? Shoukd have played a full strength side and make them work hard for the win. I’m sorry cooper that was a sackable offence!

ps kudos to the players that did well!

I'd agree that finishing outside of the bottom 3 will be acceptable. However, what is not acceptable for me, is the performances, the lack of interest that I currently feel mainly down to a lacklustre manager who seems to lack passion for our club. He is like most managers, just there for the pay check, not for the likes of you and me. He's judged on results not on how many supporters rock up and leave feeling happy, even after eating overpriced mince burgers/pies. I wish it was more about us, but it's not. And that's the same for most EFL clubs, sadly.

Neither am I.
