What will their responsibilities be, and do they have experience of knowing what's involved and how deal with the role aspects?

Plus, why were there only four applicants?

There are 12 on the Board.

Responsibilities not allocated yet, board members will be allocated to relevant sub groups after the AGM. (Communications, Membership, Engagement, LCFC Women, Finance, Surveys)

We're aware that some of the new board members (AGM ratification pending) are already undergoing the FSA training for supporter trusts and being a board member etc.

As for why only 4 applicants, you'd have to ask every member personally why they didn't stand.

12 - seems an overkill, from experience a smaller group could probably get more done surely?

You'd expect 12 members on a FTSE company board.

There’s an argument for that but equally it’s a volunteer based organisation

These are voluntary roles, covering the breadth of what the Trust engage in with a few hours a week across a handful of board members would spread them thinly.

Plus my instinct is that the extant board didn’t want to step down.

Yes I realise is voluntary

It’s 4 good eggs joining and a younger demographic involved which is great.

Still a fair bit of club arse licking dead wood to get rid of but this is great and I wish you all well with your inevitable, frustrating challenges ahead.

We welcome younger input which has been a challenge to obtain for many years, the influx of new members has now provided that and we look forward to their contribution to Trust activity

I know one of those elected very well and they're extremely passionate about the club and will have the fans interests at heart above that of the club.  Good appointment.

Why?

Because there isn't much promotion of the trust to a younger audience would be my guess. I didn't know it existed until I came to FT. If you Google "Leicster City Supporter Group" you get Foxestalk before you get Foxes Trust.  If you do find Foxes Trust on FoxesTalk, the link in the Foxes Trust signature isn't correct either and leads to an error.

The fact that I have also joined for over a year and all I have is a sporadic newsletter in my inbox and a certificate posted to me doesn't strike me as something the young are looking for. The newsletters also reading like the meeting notes of from Handforth Town Council without Jackie Weaver also doesn't help.

I could go on, but there are some great folks on the trust board and I hope that these appointments and Lynn staying onboard will help start the trust getting a boost it needs.

I’d agree that communication has always been poor - pretty much by design as Bason sought to lock off his personal fiefdom. It’s noticeable the shift in responses since he stopped being the tin pot chairman. Any questions were either ignored or met with the response “This information is only available to our members”. The Trust has generally taken a contrary position to groups of lower aged fans too, again I suspect that this was Bason not wishing to spoil his link to the club.

Then you have them insulting young and old who were protesting about Brenda, over the years what has Bason done to encourage anyone new to join - let alone young fans? The rush to sign up only came when everyone realised for the first time that the board could (and should) be changed so it represented the full fanbase and not the interests of a handful of individuals.
