One obvious omission is Vardy - explained above

 

A couple I was surprised to see there were Alan Paris and Keith Gillespie. We must have been fishing in shallow pools in those seasons, but I suppose we have had eras of just that

Never rated Frank, scored more own goals than ones in the right net, was nothing special at Chelsea either. 
 

Gillespie with his huge 2 goal return! 
 

Some great players and loyal servants to the club.

86/87 McAllister, but yes some notable omissions

Shilton left in 74, Nish in 72, McAllister won it in 88 and Collymore only made a dozen or so appearances. Weller, Worthington and Cross are stand out misses though.

I always thought Joachim was a bit of a conundrum while at Leicester. He made his debut part way through 92/93, was injured for most of 94/95 and left in 96, so the only season he could have won it was 93/94 and Grayson was magnificent that season.

The Andy Feeley one is the biggest anomaly imo. Lineker scored 29 goals in 84/85 and made his England debut. But no, let's give it to the meathead journeyman fullback. Bet Lineker couldn't wait to get out of here.
