I hope Top takes a long hard look at the table this morning, and last nights affairs.

When will he finally realise he needs to re structure his board? Or is it something he simply doesn’t care about any more? Vichai’s dream is in tatters, and the club are facing a journey on perilous waters going forward…..

Does he actually care about this project anymore? Or is he just simply dragging it along because it’s a piece of his father that he doesn’t want to let go of?

Rudkin and Whelan have been so close to king power and TOP that it’s just too awkward for him to part ways, that’s the honest truth of it. I’m sure Whelan and Rudkin will spin him a line as to the reasons weve dropped off and it’ll do for him.

Takes some squinting from my seat but is it normal for the full front row of the exec seats to not be there?

Get it King Power wont be at every single match but Rudkin or anyone else UK based not there seems unusual.

I think he’s so far up Top’s rear end that he daren’t sit on the front row when Top’s not there. Like some weird kind of deference.

Top needs to go along with the board at this point. He hasn't got it in him.

If Rudkin and Whelan did not offer their resignation after relegation in 2023 they should have been fired or moved to a different part of King Power. People talk about showing respect to Top and his family. The most disrespect has come from those 2 by not falling on their swords.

The question is whether Top believes in mutual respect. He wants to be respected by fans, ok. But the way he is letting the club become the state it is, that is showing huge disrespect to the city of Leicester and the County, the true custodians of the club (the fans), the local community and his own fathers legacy.

He’s probably completely ignorant to this.

I've accepted that Rudkin and Whelan won't be outright sacked, but I struggle to see why a reshuffle to let out the smell hasn't happened.

Get someone in to work under Rudkin, give him a bullshit promotion so he's overseeing King Power's sporting operations in racing and in both football clubs and let the new guy work with RVN and at Seagrave more closely.

It's like when schools have a Headteacher, who's there every day and oversees the day-to-day stuff, and an Executive Head for oversight of two or more schools. The latter gets a broad overview of operations across different settings and how each setting can improve its operations by perhaps using practices that work in one of the settings or moving staff, while the latter ensures that each setting is working as it should every day.

Whelan is clearly a useful businesswoman, but perhaps could be moved elsewhere. Maybe building the King Power brand name in Europe- something I'm amazed nobody has thought to try given the brand exposure the club has given them over the past ten years. Quite why King Power haven't even tried to open duty free shops in UK and European airports has puzzled me to be honest.

They don’t sit on the front row if Top isn’t attending

Rudkin sits with Whelan in the second row

Look no further that the 'woe is me' statement on our relegation in 2023. And the complete lack of transparency on anything that happened as part of this 'review':

Over the coming days and weeks, we need to reflect on the processes and decisions that have brought us to this point. What we learn from this experience must convert into action that makes us stronger and prevents this happening to us again in the future.

I agree with what others have said - I don't think he knows what he's doing. What is the 'action' that's been taken to 'make us stronger'?

Although I think PSR is only a small reason we're in the shit, it's not like there's anything mentioned publicly that apportions blame to anything. So what is it they think has gone wrong to try and fix it? Where is the fighting spirit to make us better? Even though he's a total tosspot, even the Forest owner was out in the media pointing fingers at refs or getting rid of backroom staff in an attempt to make changes, which sadly seem to have worked.

Any other business (and football is a business now) heads are rolling at this level of regression. Nothing of the sort at KPFC.

Most likely because in Europe they'd not have a Monopoly.

True.

But also a very lucrative market in which to get even a modest market share.

To my knowledge , There is no duty in Europe anymore. Stuff is very often cheaper in the shops than at the Airport.

By the time you set up and pay all the rent space etc the profits are probably too small.

Also as someone else said the legislation is a lot tighter.

Fair play actually. I hadn't thought of these factors.

I am left wondering why they haven't found some other opportunity to engage in retail in some capacity in Europe, mind.

Yes, Business is very much Global nowadays, You would think that theyed be looking for an opportunity to grow the KP Brand further.

Whelan is an expert on Duty Free, That's where she cut her Teeth before taking on KP with Richai. My guess is the Board are quite old as in Richai's wife and Susan and the young blood are too inexperienced like tops sisters and brothers. They probably should be looking too bring in someone with a proven record of success in there business model.
