This is absolutely bang on the money.ย

ย

It's one of two situationsย

ย

A) KPFC fans inventing this as an excuse to overlook what he's up to.ย

ย

B) The club lying to employees about why they're changing the payment dates.

ย

I've not seen the email so couldn't see where this started but there's absolutely no need to align payment dates with a company uninvolved with the club in an official capacity.ย

The timing of this all is terrible as wellโ€ฆ just when the players seem to be ย ( somewhat) getting it together.. I mean, if this sort of thing doesnโ€™t distract a player, then nothing willโ€ฆ. We saw how much it effected the players at Wednesday and itโ€™s ย only fair to think it will ours as well.

ย

ย

but letโ€™s just say itโ€™s all down to to the most atrocious piece of mismanagement and decision making to try and keep us in ย line with a global employee structure.. ย how could anyone even possibly begin to think this was a smart move? How did that person ever get a management position? How can you trust someone like that to check inventory ย let alone keep such a high management position?

ย

and if itโ€™s worse than that.. goodness meโ€ฆ all eyes of the footballing world are upon us nowโ€ฆ as if they werenโ€™t already..

Even worse when you think the club needed as much good PR as possible at the moment, and someone still went and signed off this decision! As many people have wondered, is it mismanagement or is it them being heartless... or both. Not sure which is worse.

Totally agree. It's not at the level of Wednesday - however, the problems at Wednesday and other clubs started somewhere....and ****ing about with support staff wages is usually where it starts. Anyone dismissing this as no big issue needs to give their head a wobble - have you missed how this club has been run these past few years? To do this to staff now, is abnormal, and what good reason is there for doing this? Unless you have a cash flow problem, of course.

Exactly. When I and others have made references to Wednesday in recent times, I have said the same that it started somewhere so nobody is saying we are there yet but itโ€™s at the early stages.

ย

I did reference the concern about people not managing until the end of the month above but that is in no way a defence of the club. I am venomously against this ownership and want them out. They are a disgrace. My comment was completely separate and based on a previous line of work within social housing, seeing children made homeless due to parents not budgeting including overspending at Christmas, causing them to be in debt and not paying bills. Itโ€™s something that will always trigger me.

ย

But you canโ€™t reference that without making the point that just like an employee has a salary and can budget this over the year, the employer, in this case the club, also knows their commitments and should budget for paying this. So why, does it matter to the club whether they paid it today (19th) or in a week and a half? If thatโ€™s cash flow like you say, then thatโ€™s majorly concerning and most definitely firmly on the Wednesday path. If itโ€™s cash flow, I would say the fact it is Christmas and a case of the early pay date being pushed pack could prove to be a coincidence and that it is likely this starts happening to staff regular pay days throughout the year (as per Wednesday). It seems like just the start anywayโ€ฆ.

Utterly disgracefulย  behaviour.

Hierarchy should hold their heads in shame while they are looking into their golden goose at xmas and jet setting around some sun clad island whilst the staff dont get any pay.

Really are w@nkers

Top, just fvck off

The timing and how this has been handled will no doubt leave a very bitter taste for all employees involved, even if they are able to cope financially. The message this sends to the non football employees is one that you are not important and certainly donโ€™t matter enough to at least be treated with a modicum of respect and given fair and reasonable notification of such a change.ย
ย

There will no doubt be now a lot of disgruntled people working at the club now potentially looking at alternative employment in the new year.ย
ย

I would not be surprised in the slightest to hear in the next few months the club will be restructuring its non football operations and there be a number of people made redundant and people who leave over the coming months not replaced.ย

Could it be linked? I.e piss people off so some leave, and not replaced through vacancy management, but avoiding the need to make compulsory redundancies? Whilst bringing staff numbers down.ย

The thought did cross my mind. Very sad state of affairs. The way this has been handled is absolutely terrible and I imagine the atmosphere around the club since the email will have become pretty low and demoralising.ย

Itโ€™s perhaps giving the clowns too much credits. And either way, there are better ways to achieve it. Voluntary severance without playing games would be more tasteful.ย
ย

I think it is more concerning about what this means and what happens over the coming months. The short notice shows communication hasnโ€™t improved. If staff had been told this would be the case from next year, would that have been accepted? Who knows. But going back on commitments within 24 hours notice is awful, regardless of whether people should or shouldnโ€™t have been relying upon that pay for Christmas.

Absolutely, couldnโ€™t agree more, the optics of this is appalling like you say had this be done with 12 months notice or even 6 or 3 months notice it would have at least given people time to plan accordingly. Less than 24 hours is abhorrent I really cannot express how disappointed I am that the decision makers at the club have thought this is a fair and reasonable way to treat its staff.ย

Iโ€™d love to know what the actual culture is like inside the club.

ย

We all see the social media posts with everyone smiling, laughing, joking etc, however itโ€™s really just propaganda.ย
ย

Not paying employees at this time of year is tragic.

ย

Now I get if the want to align the dates, however they should give employees advanced notice of this, not drop it on them with 24 hours notice.

ย

This feels to me like a decision made by someone that cash rich, inexperienced, naive and doesnโ€™t understand the impact it will have on the people who run day to day.ย
ย

This will blow up Iโ€™d imagine if it hits the mainstream media.ย

I think itโ€™ll take something extreme for fans to stormย the stadium like Manchester United did with the Super League fiasco, or getting a game abandoned by thing stuff onto the pitch for King Power / Top to even begin to consider they should be selling us.ย
