I didn’t want to comment on something I wasn’t knowledgable on but I did wonder this. Owning the stadium is only a good thing if the club is protected by it. If it is something that in the event of administration is not an asset or they Aiyawatt could play hardball with and withhold out of spite, it’s not very helpful. In fact we’d probably be better off if it was rented from the council!

Haven't we been there before with the Council, The last time we were in administration.

We're much better off Owning it. The same as the Training ground.

He just needs to go urgently. He spent years following his dad around, but I think whilst he was young, he was obviously  expecting his dad to be around a lot longer, so he was more bothered about reaping the benefits of a multi billion pound company having his backside wiped and spoon fed.. then all of a sudden his dad tragically passed and he inherited the lot.

He's relied on the wrong people.. Rudkin being one.. so when everyone's rightly pointing for Rudkin to go.. Tops blinkered vision on sees what Rudkins telling him

He's got football clubs, race horses, polo teams etc but as far as hes concerned they just appeared, it was all his dad, we're just a rich kids toys that until recently didnt need any work on them as they just ran themselves and whenever he needed to finance them he'd just borrow some money from Australia because it's 'like free money' that you just pay back later or you just convert some debt in to equity.. but long term it catches up with you.. and that debt gets bigger and you can no longer create more equity because there's no value.. then what... youre where we are now.

He hasn't a clue what hes doing and been guided by Rudkin. KP have given us some of the best times in our history.. I just hope he realises soon that he cannot take us further..  that we need new investment by someone who can get us sponsored left right and centre and hopefully give us some lighter days again

Still grateful for the good times and as far as im concerned it'd be great to see him still come to games .. just not as an owner.

Rudkin .. burn him at the stake

We are owned by King Power.

King Power finances will be available on the Thailand version of companies house around the end of this month.

So we’ll know what date they’re in.

We are better off if the club owns it. If it ends up with a Chansiri situation with him owning the asset and holding it out of spite, are we better off?

I don’t have the answers. But I’d fancy the chances of dealing with a council or at least an impartial and professional business than a vindictive individual with a bruised ego.

But they were still throwing money away under Pearson and taking a punt.

After investing £100m they were spending £36m on wages with £31m turnover.

That continuously allowed them to strengthen even picking up Mahrez mid season even though they were exceeding FFP those figures simply don’t happen under Mandaric.
Pearson laid the foundations, but without the finances it wouldn’t have happened.

Investment is always useful if done sensibly. I would say the investment under Pearson was modest not significant but it was maximised by Pearson/Walsh.

At the point of the takeover, if you had the following two options and had to choose which one would result in promotion, what do you think?

1 - Pearson in charge with his structure and the minimal investment that had brought us back up from L1 and straight to the playoffs and on the up.

2 - Chuck money at individuals like Matt Mills, Neil Danns and Jermaine Beckford in the name of investment.

I strongly think option 1. I think Pearson could well have got us promoted on the limited investment he had before. But I don’t think KP would have got us promoted at all if they had just thrown money at expensive mercenaries (sounds familiar).

Agreed, but to be fair to KP. They've never demonstrated anything like Chanciri.

Councils don't want anything to do with Football grounds, they're too much of a headache and tie up Council funds.

But the investment you are talking about on the up from league one, was 4/5 years prior to the promotion and what followed and that is actually what our success is based on, following on from the previous post.

There was also a strong case of momentum at the end of the day, it’s all hypothetical because he didn’t get promoted.

What isn’t hypothetical is the finances, by the time we did get promoted we were spending 116% of our revenue on wages and utilising every ounce of additional help from dodgy sponsorship deals to avoid FFP penalties

I don’t know. It’s hard to know how he will react when it unravels (obviously it has already unravelled to many of us but when administration happens).

I speak to a Sheffield Wednesday fan at work and he says a lot of what has happened at our club sounds like Chansiri. The Thai propaganda, thin skinned, ego etc.

I hope he wouldn’t react the same but I wouldn’t trust him with anything.

Remember when Top turned up on TV and said he was going to communicate with us regularly?

Yeah.

I’ve said it before but he’s shitting himself.

It’s why he won’t turn up for games either. He’s rattled by the increasing number of fans turning on him and would rather hide.

He won’t face the music. He’s not a leader.

It’s not really clear if you are defending them or not here!

I mean Pearson did get promoted after he sorted the mess out from the ‘investment’. If you’re saying it’s hypothetical he would have got us promoted if he’d stayed originally, it’s no more hypothetical than us getting promoted with KP’s wasting money left right and centre before Pearson came back.

Wasn’t 116% wages to turnover more recently? Either way, it’s reckless and not sensible investment. If it was 116% at the time of promotion, what the hell was it before Pearson came back and stripped it all back? 150%? 200%? Is there evidence that figure was from then as that doesn’t seem right?

A couple of things worry me in all this.

Susan leaving, She was the brains behind Vichai, and KP thru and thru.

Rudskin mush have something on Top.

Top can't be that nieve to think Rudskin has the talent to turn things around.

Top put in another 124 million into the Club to increase his share holding.

Could he be running down our Assets to take over as major shareholder cheaply from KP.

KP have been back making plenty of money. So clearly not as interested as when Vichai came on board.

Which doesn't surprise me.

They'll still be plenty there to applaud them.
