The hardest interview of his career.  Hamilton saying he's useless, the car is good and Ferrari "probably need to change driver".

Turning in to a very sad end.  I think he's now done mentally.

His heads gone. He should call it a day now rather than talking himself down like. He’s been a fantastic driver - one of the very best to watch.

The ground effect era hasn't been good for him really, always been hard to tell how much of that is down to Mercedes building tricky cars or himself. Technical rules aren't my forte so I'm not sure how true this is, but I read recently that next year the regulations are pretty much binning off ground affect rather than being an evolution of them, so will be interesting to see how he adapts then.

As for today in Q2 he was the usual kind of time off Leclerc and a quarter of a tenth puts him in Q3, yet he's not even 11th or 12th. It was stupendously close. Don't think running him early gave him the best or the track either

Still expect McLaren to win but credit to Leclerc for a great lap .

Hamilton will probably come through the pack and all will be well again .

Aston set for a very good weekend - still you kind of feel  Verstappen will be above 8th in the race.

Has Kimi gone from the best rookie to the worst ?

Can we just adopt a new rule that if your track doesn't provide x number of overtakes on average over a 5 year period you lose your spot?
Hungaroring is such a bad track for overtakes. 21 overtakes average since 2017, what's the point?

We aren't going back to small nimble cars (2026 rules are an improvement but are still massive), so many tracks have way too many medium speed tight sections that you can't overtake on.

So many better tracks that provide better racing like Istanbul, Sepang, India that can't get a sniff. F1 needs fundamental reform to both cars and track choices.

How can a twat like me, laying on the sofa with a chocolate bar know that Ferrari pitting to try to stop an undercut that Mclaren very clearly were not going to try is a bad idea, yet Ferrari with their hundreds of millions of pounds, hundreds of data analyses and millions of data points think it's a good thing to do?

Mclaren asked their drivers about 8x if they could manage a 1 stop, publicly broadcasted to millions, and Ferrari took that info and though "Ha! those crafty Mclarens are trying to mind game us!"

Wild. How can one team be so bad at decision making. They should have got Horner in when they had a chance.

Great drive from Lando, 39 laps on hards, feel sorry for Oscar who I thought drove a better race but just got unlucky. Ferrari are a clown show once again.

Huge for Alonso and Bortoleto!

Hamilton still should give it ago next year, although would be kinda funny if he finally retired and Aston have a rocket ship and we get king Nando

Imo, he looks like he’s trying to get his contract cancelled.

Yeah they just gave Fred a new contract though, mistake imo as much as I love Fred and think he would do well in another team, what Ferrari need is someone prepared to walk in, kick a table over and tell them to change their ****ing car lol

Cadillac to sign Perez and Bottas for next season ?

Be a wealth of experience and two drivers keen to prove a point .

Definitely the best available, Perez made a career of doing great in shitboxes. I thought originally it was either/or and they were going to get a youngen in there?

Maybe the money he also brings makes a difference?

Would have preferred a Perez/Bottas and a youngster. Even Schumacher would have done them some good commercially, Perez would automatically bring a lot of money with him
