Then what are the blue walled wets?

The full wets kick up even more spray than the inters so conditions were they would be useable are going to have even worse visibility than the inter. It would make sense to just call inters wets and not bother carting them around tbh. Its a shame that aerodynamics has reduced visibility in wet conditions so much but not really much point in designing the cars for the two or three times of the year those conditions might occur either.

Loads of folk on Twitter claiming he's been sacked.  Will wait to see if any media report it.

That is wild!
I have to say the drama between him and Toto over the years has been great, let’s face it, he hasn’t done much that other TP’s wouldn’t have done its unfortunately the nature of the sport to be petty with eachother and try to bend the rules, Horner is the one who did the most work building the team and he’s overseen an incredible rise. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the Ferrari pit wall in the near future.

In the last few seasons unfortunately the Max problem and Helmut Marko have become too big of an issue to solve and could argue his lack of foresight has contributed. With max they have got a generational talent so it’s no wonder the car has been designed to suit him and win him world championships but ultimately it’s results in a car so difficult to drive it’s killing the 2nd drivers careers and now it seems more difficult than ever to win a Constructors with any of their driver pool as only max can get anything out of it.

He’s done an incredible job, he’s been thoroughly unlikeable at times but his contribution is colossal. His Cambridge Union talk was brilliant and gives a great insight into how he’s developed such a formidable machine over the years.

Think the big one here is to decipher has he been sacked because Max is leaving or because Max has decided to stay. Undoubtedly a factor.

Picked the drivers from their second team .

Now after the team principals!

Going to be strange not seeing Horner on the pit wall etc .

Don’t worry, within 12 months he will be back… in Red.

Never had a good relationship with Marko or Jos Verstappen apparently.

Yeah think its likely for either, Can't imagine Red Bull as a company would be happy if Horner hasn't been able to keep hold of Max, Can't imagine Max/Jos would be happy to commit to a future with Horner there either.

The timing of this is really weird especially mid season.

Especially given Brundle said he'd spoken to him and that he was given no reason for his dismissal.  Given the investigation, this year's car being a bit of a dog it is weird timing, as why now?  Wonder if Max, potentially, going to Mercedes was a factor if one of the reasons given was their relationship?

Wild. Gotta be more to this, it's not solely about the car is it.

You dont dump him mid-season unless you really need to surely.

Personally I'm hoping it's cause he was sending dick pics to Mel B.

Did we find out why Newey left ?
he was pretty vague - ‘being true to himself’

maybe it was to do with Horner and his personnel issues -  the car not performing as it usually does has perhaps concentrated minds as to why that is this season.

To be fair, the same guy has been telling me for months their engine next year is an absolute shitbox. Perhaps shouldn’t be such a surprise.

They've been rumoured to be well behind Mercedes in engine development.
