Pre injuries at this level given what he did in France then he'd be an asset. Right now I think he'd be an unnecessary risk,  but Martin loved him at MK Dons.

We have just signed Ravioli. Surely having four senior keepers, even with one out injured, is just way too much for a League One team. We have Bausor as well.

Bausor has gone out on loan.

 

Only for a month though, so I guess it is to get first team football so he's more ready and prepared if needed when he comes back.

 

Bit of a gamble running with only 2 for that month, but can't think of another logical reason we'd send him out for only one month and leave ourselves short, so doubt anyone else comes in, unless it's an emergency loan if we get another injury or a red card.

If Jakub has done his ACL that brings that down to three (out of contract at the end of the season) and Bausor is not ready for L1 imo.

If a half decent keeper is available you sign him.

Because we only have two we're eligible for an emergency loan should we need one, makes much more sense to manage it that way than get someone in on a 6-12 month contract. 

 

Equally if one of the two picked up a serious injury we could then make the decision to pick up one of those free agents as and when needed.

I mean, we'd have to be freakishly unlucky to lose our two remaining senior goalkeepers through suspension/injury over the next month on top of Jakub being out.

Bausor can surely step in when it's an emergency. He's a goalkeeper that has trained for years at the club. You'd expect him to be able to do the basics and even be accustomed to the way we want to play. Expecting to have four L1+ quality goalkeepers in the squad is just not realistic or prudent.

Pretty much, he was reported to be on 120k per week when he was playing for Arsenal; maybe he took a drop to sign for soton, and I'm sure they had relegation clauses, but even if he's on a third of what he was on 3 years ago that's still an unbelievably high wage for a 2nd/3rd/4th choice championship keeper.
