There's not a single manager would turn down a 15-20 goal striker in that league.

It's the wages that would be the issue. BTW for anyone celebrating Ward going, isn't he here till 2026?

No, thankfully his contract ends June 2025.

I think we will already be mathematically done by the Ipswich game.

As horrific and toxic the last few years have been from bottom to top I really hope that is forgotten for one day and one day alone. Over the years he has given us some of the most magical moments this football club could have dreamt of. I hope he walks off that pitch that day knowing what he means to the fans even if he isn’t what he was, it’s the very least that man deserves.

No player is bigger than any club….. Apart from Jamie Vardy.

I'd give him another year purely so this isn't the end. Letting them end it on this note would be criminal.

In hindsight he should've definitely retired in the summer.

Now he's going to go out with a 6-0 loss at Bournemouth playing in one of the worst sides in the leagues history. Absolute disgrace - but to be expected under this lot. You only have to remember the Schmeichel departure.

This will be our final home game of the season.

It’s also most likely the final time that we will see Jamie Vardy play for us.

Does he get a big send off? Or does this just play out as standard game?

It’ll almost most likely be the last time Ward, Thomas and Iversen also get to play for us as well, however I’m not expecting many people to come and celebrate that send off.

Thomas is on contract until 2026 Vardy wants to play till 40 let's hope it's with Leicester

Maybe if we go down he might stay on for just one more year.

Easily did a job in the championship last time.

What is worse, a PL relegation send off or a mid table Championship one at Wycombe away?

It's a good point, that we may need to separate the two things, the awful last day of the season and the appreciation of Vardy and that's tough.

If it is the end for him then being subbed on 75 mins by young Evans could be an iconic passing of the baton particularly if Evans comes good. No pressure lad :D.

There really should be a testimonial, while the players are still capable, the title winners squad vs a team of team mates from both before and after, one side managed by Ranieri, the other by Pearson (yes I know the part he had in building the winning squad but nice to have them both involved), also a chance to recognize Kingy's service and say a proper goodbye to the likes of Fuchs and Okazaki. Money can go to Charidy or Rebekah's legal bill fund :dunno:

Rudderless has been working hard at getting a new deal over the line for our international Welsh keeper.

If I were Vardy for the sake of his reputation I would leave at the end of this season and enjoy a couple of years in the MLS or Saudi if he really needs the cash. He’s done more than enough for us. I will miss him badly but he’s only human. He deserves a better end than two relegations.

The new contract would be signed by now but Ward keeps dropping the pen
