Skipp in a 2 man central midfield :crylaugh:

More of a box midfield with Buonanotte and El Khannouss as two 10s in that lineup.

I’ve had a good old think, and I’ve decided to change my selection for this. Ward, Vestergaard, JJ, Soumare have cost us a lot of points. Kristiansen, Daka and Thomas just don’t look good enough (same could be said of a few actually) So why would we start any of them if we don’t need to?

                       Hermansen.

          Faes.        Coady.       Okoli.

Ricardo.     Ndidi.     Winks.   Coulibaly

                      El Khannouss.

                                              Mavididi

                Vardy.

I’m not sure about not playing a left footer at left wing back and Ricardo starting. Think we’d get torched in the wide areas.

Anyone going to start an antique roadshow thread. 😄

Vardy and ayew could be on it for a start.  Cant see their value going up like its supposed to with antiques though

Ok I see but even then Skipp has not shown any ability to be an effective deep lying midfielder. Not really a ball player, not overly mobile or able to take a ball on the half turn and no great shakes defensively. It’s a bit of a mystery where he can actually fit. He’s just not good enough to replace Soumare or Winks even when considering their lack of form!

Best thing about this game is that the final day of the Players Championship will be on sky sports at the same time.

**** driving over to Leicester to get back late after watching Faes and his mates not earn their money when I could be drinking whisky watching the golf on my sofa.

Sad state of affairs indeed

I prefer Soumare out of the 3 options other than Ndidi but it’s just trying something else for the sake of it as in a two man midfield Soumare has proven he doesn’t track runners effectively enough and Wilf gets hung out to dry too often in there.

Skipp is a bit better than Winks defensively and physically, would just have him there and try get him to do a job on Fernandes for this game.

Winks is the best 6 as a single pivot, but in a two man partnership with a back 3 (especially as there is a middle centre back occupying that central space in the build up) he doesn’t really offer anything.

Not seen anything actually on the pitch at least in a Leicester shirt that suggests Skipp is any better than Winks even when the latter isn’t utilised as the single pivot. In his last few games before being dropped out of the squad completely,  Skipp has hidden from the ball or wall passed it as soon as the ball comes to him. A catastrophic signing.

Utd hitting form just nicely…

They really aren't.  Admittedly we are poor.  However if you look at them for the money they have spent they are truly shocking.  They will still beat us Sunday mind that's how bad we are.

Lose this and basically we are relegated. With the games in April:

Man city (A)

Newcastle (H)

Brighton (A)

Liverpool (H)

We certainly need a win today and this would possibly give us the boost to get a point or 2 from the next 4. A loss and we loose all 4 games.

By the time we get to the Wolves game we could be relegated anyways. If we win on Sunday then it will make the last 5 games including Wolves will be interesting.

It's simple really for me. Sunday loss = 99.99% relegation, Sunday win = a fighting chance

We are down mate, not a chance we are staying up the gap is 6 points even if by some miracle we beat Wolves the gap is still 3 points to safety and not to mention our pitiful goal difference, we are down I have accepted that, and my anger is fully at the board for their utter incompetence as per usual.

Does he stick with a back 5 or revert back to 4-3-3? I don't think he was comfortable with the system change although it kept Chelsea out for the best part. i expect him to go back and for Ayew to return.

It's most likely we'll be as good as 10 points behind Wolves before we play this game.

Even if you had us being 3 points ahead of Wolves now, I'd still fancy us to go down as we still have them to play away (which we will bottle) and our run in is a lot tougher.

Ruud van Nistelrooy confirmed that he has no fresh injury concerns, with a fully fit squad apart from Abdul Fatawu

Last week Ricardo returned to the team after being out since December. The City boss is happy to have him back

Van Nistelrooy opted for a change in system against Chelsea, moving to a back 5

He was asked if he could have made the change earlier in the season

Finally, van Nistelrooy spoke about how much the away supporters at Chelsea helped to boost the team.

He was asked how important it could be to bring that atmosphere to King Power Stadium on Sunday

He says this shite every week, but sadly we all know the reality, it's just torture to hear it now...

He will keep playing the same useless players.  It doesn’t matter how much he changes the defence if he keeps playing Soumare in front of them. He might hit his 10k daily steps this match.

Our defence are clowns who are more than happy to pass around and the back and play themselves but they have zero protection in front and get caught out because of it. If he does get hold of the ball he’ll rifle it back or pass to the opposition.

Ndidi is shattered by 60 mins from having to do two players work.
