I was reading an article about the Middlesbrough manager, Dyche came up and apparently they believe he's holding out for a prem job, which does make sense.

The longer this is drawn out, the scope of potential managers is narrowing and may do even more so soon with other movements.

I still think there is a chance RvN will be kept as the cheap option. They're keeping him in the dark as a backup option

The cheap option should be taking a risk on Brian Barry-Murphy. I just don't see how RvN can prosper here given what has gone on. There won't be many examples of success after such a heinous 1st season and then the way the club have treated him.

He was on a flight with one of our group to Ibiza on Thursday, and when he asked him if he was coming here he said "am I ****" lol

If this was Russell Martin you could believe it no way is Dyche going to Ibiza for his hols

Don't like the sound of that one bit.

I personally only think the hiring the assistant works if the no1 has been successful. It would end up being a more watered down version of RVN without the contacts.

Would defo rather keep Ruud then promote this guy.

Genuinely surprised to see so many people apparently desperate for us to make another mistake like the appointment of Cooper last season.

Genuinely surprised that anyone thinks waiting till a few weeks before preseason, giving a guy a few weeks to learn about a squad, bring in new players and build a team that is remotely competitive is a good plan. Really if we can’t afford a new manager we are best setting the current guy on to tasks. Instead of fanning around in July. There is absolutely no evidence the club will make any better choices by waiting or taking longer, they are grossly incompetent and inept.

Its just the fact that all he talks about is a bundesliga club. Feel he is a down tools sort of guy

If Rohl wants to go elsewhere and Dyche apparently doesn’t want it, I can see them sticking with RVN until more candidates become available

There are loads readily available.

I would prefer Rohl. I don’t want Dyche.
We shouldn’t limit ourselves to those two.

Barry-Murphy is a club appointment and RvN had little to do with it. Similar contacts to Maresca is his stint at Man City is anything to go by.

This wouldn't be my preferred choice to be clear but if we are absolutely skint then it might give us more momentum than RvN can evoke given how abysmal last season went.

Who would you pick that’s not foreign ? Because let’s be honest they won’t go down that route.

Not a chance.
