fox_favourite Posted 8 June 2025 Posted 8 June 2025 (edited) I was reading an article about the Middlesbrough manager, Dyche came up and apparently they believe he's holding out for a prem job, which does make sense. The longer this is drawn out, the scope of potential managers is narrowing and may do even more so soon with other movements. I still think there is a chance RvN will be kept as the cheap option. They're keeping him in the dark as a backup option Edited 8 June 2025 by fox_favourite

There won't be many examples of success after such a heinous 1st season and then the way the club have treated him. 3

Don't like the sound of that one bit. I personally only think the hiring the assistant works if the no1 has been successful. It would end up being a more watered down version of RVN without the contacts. Would defo rather keep Ruud then promote this guy.
K789 Posted 8 June 2025 Posted 8 June 2025 Wouldbt touch rohl. Seen his interview again today issuing another bundesliga come and get me. Gotta be dyche

Genuinely surprised that anyone thinks waiting till a few weeks before preseason, giving a guy a few weeks to learn about a squad, bring in new players and build a team that is remotely competitive is a good plan. Really if we can’t afford a new manager we are best setting the current guy on to tasks. Instead of fanning around in July. There is absolutely no evidence the club will make any better choices by waiting or taking longer, they are grossly incompetent and inept.

Nolucklcfc Posted 8 June 2025 Posted 8 June 2025 If Rohl wants to go elsewhere and Dyche apparently doesn’t want it, I can see them sticking with RVN until more candidates become available

I would prefer Rohl. I don’t want Dyche. We shouldn’t limit ourselves to those two.

This wouldn't be my preferred choice to be clear but if we are absolutely skint then it might give us more momentum than RvN can evoke given how abysmal last season went. 1

brookfox Posted 8 June 2025 Posted 8 June 2025 Came for a managerial update. Left wondering if I’ve misjudged Sean Dyche all these years 🤔 Funny old world! 1
