Paid for Notts Forest tickets advertised on here, said give extra tenner for postage he said only need a fiver.

Tickets not arrived kept pushing date he would send, then downgraded from recorded delivery to just a stamp has said would refund but now radio silence.

Pissed off at missing game and losing £65 will chalk off as a lesson learned, I sent money knowing possible of loosing it any advice from moderators?  Not naming yet.

Guy is a long term member several years.

thanks

Popping a stamp on them, very strange would not cost a fiver to post Tracked 24 is £3.70 or guaranteed next day for £8.75. Post can go wrong but you cover yourself

The post is terrible at the moment, I’ve just received a medical appointment for Monday that

was posted over a week ago.

Hi mate, I’ll be completely honest with you here. I already used the £65 which was sent and am waiting for payday to pay you. I know that’s a huge ask on my part especially considering you didn’t receive the tickets but I will 100% get it sent back to you. I really apologise

I hate to be the one to say it but read the big red banner at the top of the tickets section - too many people have been shafted and the forum can't take responsibility for it.

Hopefully you get your money back but it's a risk you're taking buying them via post with someone on here.

Just playing devils advocate here but assuming you sent the money as soon as was agreed between you both. If the user has actually sent the tickets in the post i dont see no reason why he isn't free to use the money which was sent to him? Possible that was his reason for selling the tickets in the first place. Again, don't know the full story so just trying to see other POV

These things happen, you know the risks.

I sent someone tickets for Arsenal that never turned up.

Also, it's not been that long since the game, maybe they just haven't got round to sending the refund yet?

Also the OP (not saying they have in this case) could be looking to get money back even though they received the tickets.

I’ve bought and sold on here with no problems but then I always swap the cash and ticket in person.

Only way to do it really.  I've had no problems face to face.  And theres also the fact you know where to find them (or at least the persons house they are using) if anything goes wrong.  Not worth the potential hassle for them to try and scam someone for 60 or 70 quid

Update tickets arrived the Tuesday after game, still £65 down but put down to experience at least tickets were genuine, am aware of risks.

Your original post said "then downgraded from recorded delivery to just a stamp". Who's idea was this? If it was yours then yes a risk but I don't see why a seller would do that.

I originally offered a tenner to cover guaranteed imo he said fiver enough and would send recorded ‘this isn’t guaranteed’ when didn’t arrive asked if he had tracking details was told ‘no just put a stamp on it and posted’

i accept risk on here normally been fine, seller wasn’t a scammer just too slow in sending but I’m the one down

I’ve been quite lucky on here. Bought many times and always been genuine. Some kind souls have even delivered by hand and I’ve paid cash. But there’s always a risk when transactions aren’t via an official resale method.
