Otchere goal 2-1

Has to be worth a place on the bench for the 1st team considering our total lack of options.

In-form Leicester City striker Kirsten Otchere netted a brace as the Under-21s snatched an added-time victory in their final regular-season fixture at Leeds.

Otchere scored in the 92nd minute to earn the 3-2 victory for City and make it 11 goals in his last 15 games in all competitions.

The 19-year-old had earlier put City 2-1 in front, with this his first brace of the season.

His form has seen him training with the first team recently, and while an appearance in the final four Championship matches of the campaign is extremely unlikely, he could be one to watch ahead of next season, especially if City are relegated.

Midfielder Louis Page was also on the scoresheet, the 17-year-old back playing regularly with the Under-21s with the improved fitness of senior players seeing him fall out of Gary Rowett’s first-team plans.

Mad to think that we could not have been in a worse position in the league if all season long we'd have continued using Page, started Monga more often, and said to Aluko you're our first-choice RB

Sad thing is if they played more and we were 6th from bottom everyone would be calling it a disaster. I firmly believe we would be in a better position, especially if we had given Aluko a proper run of games.

Would Aluko have really done any worse than Ricardo? I mean we’re getting relegated with Ricardo starting!

Ricardo doesnt tackle, he passing is mostly terrible, he hasnt scored for ages and he runs like he is in a space suit. Boggles my mind that he starts games.

I would be a lot more forgiving of our position if we have binned off the likes of BDCR, Ayew and not brought in a heap of crap loan plan and just played the likes of Monga, Page, Aluko, Alves, Evans and Braybrooke.

All free compare to the likes of Ramsay, Mukasa, Carranza et al.

It's actually depressing to consider the reality that there's a good chance he won't be here next season.

One of the few players we have that have value, and it's a lot less than it should be because we dumped him back in the U21s for no reason.

I said this early on, instead we have wasted a season that could have been fantastic development for so many players and are still going to end up doing literally as badly as possible

We could have played a full academy 11 every week and still we wouldn't be in a worse position given we are literally the worst team in the league (Sheffield Wednesday don't really count)

At least in that scenario we would have something to show for it, instead we are still going to go down, players have not had chance to develop and integrate, and they are less likely to want to stick around given we will now be a League 1 side and we have already shown we will block their progression with underperforming shite every chance we get anyway
