The occupation of Nicaragua.
The Guatemala intervention.

The failed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba.

Panama.

Capturing Saddam Hussein.
Capturing Osama bin Laden.

Among others.

It's not as if this is a first for the US. The country has tried to shape geopolitics for about 230 years now.

Also building more clean energy production than the rest of the world combined

Given the population is 1,42+ billion, hardly a surprise.

They're actual fascists. I know that term has been thrown around so much in the social media era that its meaning has become diluted, but if an entire country engaging in imperialism rooted in at-best flimsy evidence, seemingly on the whim of a single, narcissistic old man who has a cult-like following of morons and sycophants... *breathe*... isn't Fascism, then I don't know what is.

The USA is a f**king terrifying place right now and Europe can't rely on it as an ally until the orange man is removed from office.

I prefer him to what could follow

is there any chance it won’t be Vance next ???

China are kind of two faced on green. Yes, they put a load of money into it but they're still happy to bang out emissions making tat.

Tat we buy, tbh.

The whole aspect of consumerism and how that plays into sustainability is a whole other discussion. Lots to be said, too.

India now have a comparable population figure, but sadly nowhere near the same degree of infrastructure production in that regard.

Vance almost certainly will be the Repub nominee in 2028, but the midterms later this year will likely tell us a lot about whether he'll win or not.

I actually dont think he will be. If he is, he will get torched in the elections. Independents and dems will have a field day with him.

For the sake of the future of practically everyone, let us hope so.

He's certainly got more smarts about him than Trump, which means he could make the whole abuse of power mechanism work more efficiently.

Vance doesn't have Trumps MAGA appeal to him and is just another dude. He doesn't have trumps "charisma" if you want to call it that. He just sounds like a whiney bitch married to a brown clueless wife which wont work in his favour.

You may well be on the money with that, mon ami. Like I said above, I hope that you are.

I've said many times, we pride ourselves on having got rid of slavery, when all we've done is move it abroad.

Why have smelly, ugly slaves living near you when we now have global commerce.

India – with a few exceptions – is another shithole. Anyone promoting that country is either wearing blinders or is a hopeless romantic.

People take a crap wherever they please. Hygiene? You're having a laff.

Also, if you're traveling within India as a foreign woman, good luck. Indecent exposure, sexual assault and rape isn't uncommon.

No disagreement there, the point was that population size doesn't always have relevance when it comes to what a nation does or doesn't do regarding their cleaner energy infrastructure.

Yep. Another reason for progressive change, in a lot of ways, across a lot of places.

Taking out Muammar Gaddafi was pretty destructive too

The question I'm interested in knowing regarding the Venezuela incident, is how many civilians were killed.

To launch such an assault with apparently, as Trump is claiming, no US casualties or equipment damage and no civilians killed... I'm saying impossible.

We all know that DT makes ridiculously untrue statements, but surely this tops the lot?

So then having the highest emissions is a travesty but investing into more green energy then the rest of the world combined is not a triumph. Hmmm I wonder if there is just a little bit of a bias here lol

It does in the case of China. Which is also down to education and culture – and politics (in this case, a mono-party).

India has so much potential, but lacks the discipline that China has.

A triumph at what cost? By being one of the biggest polluters on this planet? Or that Big Brother's always watching you?

China's push is a rather recent one, too. Up until about 2000, China wasn't that advanced.

Just look at their train network from a few years ago compared to today. Vastly improved.
