Why would anyone want him in the team? He is so washed

He would still bag 15 goals at this level but prob best for everyone to move on although I doubt many would grumble if he did come back

Where is he going then ? surely would have been snapped up by now if it was a Championship club

Didn't he say already he wants PL football? Which Championship team can afford signing him? Even if he lowers his wages expectations and join a Championship team why he didn't stay another season with us?

Imo he'll receive an offer by either Palace or Sunderland or even Everton a few hours before the transfer deadline.

He's a free agent so can be signed outside of the transfer window.

It's almost like we all, including JV himself, expected every suitable club to be falling over themselves to sign him. It hasn't worked out that way. He is 38, and everyone will have seen him play last season in a relegated side. Any prospective club would be trying to think how they can incorporate an ageing player, with decreasing speed and effectivity, into their side. And most are deciding it's just not worth it.

The longer this goes on, the sadder the story gets for him. Probably needs to just retire now and maybe work on starting a coaching career and get his badges. For a late bloomer at the top level, he has so much experience and know-how that could be passed on.

The 500/200 was a great way to wrap it up. We need to start a new era.

Besides, could well be that he's asking for silly money on a multi-year contract, and that's why he's still without a club.

He's definitely asking for a decent last 2 year term contract. 100% and I can't blame him for this. He's not an idiot also. He can see the ridiculous amount of money spent in the market and despite what others say I believe he can still bag some goals even in PL.

Or sign a new 2 year contract with us. I've just looked at our squad and we don't have a striker.

Apparently Daka is...! Maybe also consider about the wage situation, JV would be commanding a ridiculous wage being a free agent. We need to move on, and we can't afford to be frivolous with our spending.

We overpaid on JV massively over the last few years on wages, and we can't afford to make these kind of mistakes again. Unless you are Rudkin in disguise, then just ignore everything I just said and sign him again anyway.

Have you messaged Daka to tell him he's a striker?

What I meant is we could have him back because he'll need to accept a quite big decrease in his wages wherever he goes. Time isn't on his side unless a PL team breaks the bank when in need mid season because of injuries.

MLS or Saudi league must be in for him?

He can't play in MLS and he knows it, it doesn't fit his style of play. And there is absolutely NO CHANCE Vardy will take his family to the Saudi butchers of human rights.

If I was to send Daka any kind of message, it would be to leave.

JV won't accept a wage decrease, so the idea of a return is dead for many legitimate reasons. As much as I like the fact that he got his 500/200 ending, he left the club much later than he really should have done.

Sticking my neck out and saying that the reason that he is still without a club, says to me that his own financial/playing demands are too high, or that those same suitors struggle to see where he can fit into their sides. Time to either lower his expectations, or retire.

Meant to say expectations, not standards...

The wife legal card is overused and it's really annoying to be played all the time. Do you really believe they're poor as a family they can't afford to pay?

I can't remember where but recently read they'd sold their villa in Portugal for about £8M so, they're probably OK for a few quid for now.

Think it’s awkward for him because at best he’s going to be a squad player/impact sub which he hasn’t been all his career and he probably still feels he can be the main man. Ultimately any club that takes him isn’t going to be able to build a team around him. Think he should have retired when he left us really. Theres nothing else for him to do in the game.
