Although what’s being mentioned is absolutely terrible.. Is there uproar when United fans are singing it around old Trafford as a fanbase? Same lyrics Man City are going to die, cut them up from head to toe?

What if the lads involved just said it’s banter? Social media is a powerful thing and this has blown up massively.. 100% agree it ain’t the best chant though

Few more home games and maybe it’ll take off..

Jordan James dancing queen version is up there with our best ever chants, goes without saying that a danny ward alternative could prove more popular with our fans

Sorry but completely disagree on this one. If it was the other way round, and our local rivals were singing about a player to this tune, it would be ridiculed.

I didn't even realise it was Dancing Queen until someone pointed it out to me. Sounds better when you actually sing it in the way the song was written rather than the weird minor-key rendition that's doing the rounds.

It's a mint chant though. Far rather Abba than 'You Are Not Alone' from MJ for that crap 'on a Saturday' one. lol

Thats a serious case of damned if you do, damned if you don’t..

i said in another post the other day I think there needs to be another verse just above it as per the actual song lyrics which would make it sound and flow much better.
but then the trouble is to the majority of the fans it would be too long so they would struggle with the words..

the songs that really take off are just generic football chants which have been around for centuries. Leicester fans can’t and won’t break out of that cycle.

One of Forest's main chants for year was to Super Trouper by ABBA.

rivals will bad mouth absolutely everything, but the reaction to Hearts radio gaga/Claudio Braga chant shows people will generally get on board with new songs that aren't just sloop John b?

I’m going to scale back slightly on this comment. The chant may not be to my liking just yet, but I can see why it has caught on. The part about it being ridiculed was also probably unnecessary to say.

Currently watching Gillingham Vs Crawley on TV. Both teams attacking each other. Balls into the box. Shots, headers, hard running, tackles, relatively direct kinda football. It's so much more interesting than the top two divisions. This is what we need to get the fans going.

Fair play to you Sir/Madam, for drawing back slightly on a previous comment.

It would be a lot more civilised message board if more did that, instead of digging themselves deeper into rabbit holes every time someone disagrees with them.

I was sat near the UFS section for this one and in fairness it was the only section you could hear re City (Stoke were ok as you would expect)

they are trying their best and I thought did a good job as always (my throat is still sore from doing as much singing - and giving the ref my best wishes for most of the game)

we need to build momentum - which I think with a couple of wins now will help but we are a million miles off it with the standard of football etc

I sit in SK2 and too often, the singing is drowned out by the incessant and far too loud drumming. I feel sorry for anyone sitting near the drum. Before I’m accused of being a killjoy, I always join in with the singing but find the drum far too loud

Its normal drum level sound.  It seems to me, the lad on the drum only bangs it harder and louder when the uptake of songs is crap and he is trying to prise a bit more participation out of people.  Thats how it seems to me anyway. If more people joined in, the drum wouldnt drown them out.  Just my take.

20 years there's been a drum in the ground.

Thought Stoke were pretty crap considering they had the full end and their form tbh

They were decent tbf, very noisy. Even if they did lose their heads at the end.
