I must say the idea that the fans are the problem is novel, if there is an existing split which is loud and ‘toxic’, it means they care. The other reality is way worse, pure apathy

Coming from a Charlton fan , if you ever come/go to Leicester away just wanted to say that the stewards are probally the nicest stewards ive ever met. Letted me go pitch side to tie the flag up and were really nice. Your stewards deserve a promotion❤️ #LCFC #cafc @LCFC

yet they treat our fans like criminals!!

Irony that I've always felt treated like an away fan when going into the ground these last few years

In the old days they'd have at least been a brick through the reception windows by now, planes circling the stadium during games and a furious mob would have assembled to greet the manager and players

I'm not condoning but there's no doubt we've gone soft.

the fact that there isn't angry crowds outside the main reception every home game disgusts me tbh, too many people are just letting this go on and its about time something was said and done

The first relegation season in 22/23 it was Leicester or Everton. Everton fans refused to accept relegation or players not giving their all. They helped drag them over the line.

We sleepwalked to that relegation on and off the pitch. Last season it was a miracle if we even scored at home.

Complacency and apathy fuels this shit - time for vocal protest is now more than ever - holding these pricks account

Does anyone on here want to explain their reasoning for loudly and obnoxiously cheering for Harry Winks before going back to making absolutely no noise whatsoever apart from loudly tutting or complaining about Union FS?

There were thousands of you. Surely someone wants to explain.

Exactly. If what is happening to us was happening at Everton, Newcastle, Leeds, West Ham or even Forest, they'd be burning the stadium down right now.

The obsession continues I see. We sang for 20/30 minutes and then literally just stood there. Other than singing "****ing useless" at Ayew (which the whole ground joined in with) there was literally nothing critical from even the wider corner. People have just given up.

Have you misread my post?

I agree with your general sentiment, but don't overdo the impact fans have.

Pickford saving Maddison's penalty when we were 2-1 up, which almost certainly was the key deciding factor in us or Everton's relegation, ... was nothing to do with either set of fans.

Right down to the last minute at Everton, Bournemouth had a couple of great chances to equalise.   Those "fine margins" are what ultimately have determined a lot of Football History.   Players, not fans.

But as I said, I do accept the general point that fans can create the right "climate" and "vibes" around the place.     To this day, I believe City fans got us over the line in 1991, but others might say - nothing to do with you, just West Brom's incompetence at Twerton Park that day.

Our club hates our fans. I really think it couldn't be clearer.

I do agree to a point but when Bournemouth went to Everton on that day, I just felt that there was no way in hell Everton were not going to win that game, by hook or by crook, they were going to win. Whereas with us, it couldn’t be further from the truth. We have a small club mentality in our fanbase, it’s sad but true.

I did feel the same way about that game.    Not least because Bournemouth had nothing to play for, and it wasn't like they were going to be roared on by 3000 fans driving them on to relegate the oppo for the fun of it.

But in fairness, when I read the post match report, Bournemouth didn't act like they were "on the beach", and they gave it a real go.   Which was fair play to them, and they nearly did equalise.     But ultimately it did end up as we thought it would.

King power isn’t a hard place to come we are constantly outsung.

I was speaking to mates about this the other day. I think Leicester is the best away day in the league especially for the "smaller" teams. Get the best part of 3500 tickets, easy city to get to so teams always bring thousands. Corner away end so piece of cake to make noise. Basically get the easiest game of the season because our team is full of idiots and softies. So absolute no mark clubs can come here and beat the 6th most successful team of the last century with basically no opposition. Plus a decent city for boozing in and a ground walkable from the centre. It's a dream really.

Said similar stuff to this to someone last week at the Oxford home game. Nice, cheap £20 day out and an easy win that they'll remember for years to come at a club 10 times the size of them. All this before seeing a glut of oxford youths after the game trying to intimidate people on Welford road

Final straw when we lost our debate outside the Tigers ground on whether this house believes John Stuart Mill’s harm principle remains the best foundation for modern liberal societies.
