Chanting Danny Ward’s name in the first half was mental.

genuinely embarrassing. Like ok, Stolarcyk was looking a bit wobbly with the ball but the way our fans pile in, primarily on academy players, while maintaining infinite patience for worse offenders beggars belief

Obviously in terms of accountability far more goes to the board, players and past managers than the supporters.

Regardless, fans have a bigger role to play when the team is shit. We need to create a siege mentality, us vs the world. Many aren't playing it, and prefer to make the mentality 'us vs the players'.

If you try to encourage / motivate the team you get called a "happy clapper" or "KPFC" by others.

I know it’s really ****ing frustrating and venting seems like the only outlet, but I’d rather see in-game atmospheres that encourage struggling players rather than the atmosphere spiralling into a contagious echo chamber of misery.

There's a difference between criticising all that is wrong with the club after a bad performance and booing subs coming on and chanting during a match against academy players clearly short on confidence.

Sometimes it feels like lots of our ‘fans’ hate the club more than they support it.

I was lower tier and far left side and when I was booing a lanky bloke infront kept walking along infront of me to block the players seeing me boo them - unbelievably petty and what a fxcking tw@t

Did they get any stick at the end,?

I was out quickly at the end but near me everyone booed and was giving them stick (granted I was upper tier so they probably couldn’t hear).

Yeah nuts. Struggled with a lot of it today. Yeah folk handle things differently but chants making light of league one, chants for Chansiri/Ward and then the low level shit of ‘we’ve got the ballll’. Just find it all so weak.

Yep. Pound shop humour

Never known a disconnect between supporters and players like we have at the moment. It turned toxic very quickly today.

How so?

Very amused by a pair of ‘fans’ behind me in the lower tier yesterday.

Got themselves all irate at the chanting about going down to league 1 etc, stating the need to ‘back the lads’ - a reasonable opinion of course. Or at least it would be if in the next 10 mins we didn’t have:

1. Calling Daka a “useless f***ing knobhead”

2. Calling Skipp a “stupid slaphead willy puller”

3. Attempting to start a chorus of ‘sideways and backwards’

4. Oles when we passed the ball about

Braindead. And for what it’s worth I can see both sides but honestly these players do deserve the stick they get.

I can’t quite put my finger on it but yeah that was just a very strange experience as an awayday today. Maybe just a feeling my service is done now.

Yeah, I just can't be around it anymore, I don't have the patience or tolerance.

I'll be back when it changes as I just can't handle it.

Thought it was felt really positive before the game - supporters were loud and up for it. As soon as Wednesday scored their ridiculously easy goal it turned.

As others have pointed out, fans were really getting on Jakub's back and some started chanting Danny Ward's name which was just bizarre. Lots of songs about League One, how crap we are etc. I'm all for a bit of gallows humour and like everyone else I'm completely fed up with this team but I thought some of this was a bit much 20 minutes in to a huge game that could decide our fate.

I've never heard a Leicester player booed as loud as Jordan Ayew was when he came on. Yes he's rubbish and yes he's lazy but from the noise you'd think it was the return of Dennis Wise. And after he scored those same people were singing his song! Bipolar behaviour.

I e always said in the 30 years I've supported this club a big majority of our fans are thick, stupid divs

I must have been stood near you. Awful end today after what have been an enjoyable last couple.

Had the potential to be great as well, but conceding in the first 2 minutes and the utterly hopeless effort levels immediately after that doesn’t help.

The club have created this.

I'm not sure how or where fans are allowed to vent their frustration? If they can't let loose at a game that's so important when we're crumbling again where can they?

The whole situation is a mess. Fans get blamed for being passive, but when they vent that's wrong too?

No I definitely am, championship season under maresca was rubbish atmosphere and we won the league ffs - it is part the clubs fault for not doing a whole stand of safe standing. Too many little pockets here and there - you cannot say the Kop has a “great atmosphere” when we are doing well, if you think it does you don’t go to many grounds.

i was a ST in the kop for years but didn’t renew this year FWIW

There isn’t the demand for that level of safe standing

This is all on the players now.

Conceding after 2 minutes in that game is just outright pathetic and was always going to totally screw up any hope of a positive experience for anyone.

The playing squad is a toxic pile of steaming, carefree shit.

I think it has got to that point now for a lot of fans, because of the way it has been ran the last few years

It is difficult when you concede a goal in minute 2 v worst team in the league - it is rinse and repeat every week. I expect a lot of fans spent good part of £100+ inc. travel and tickets. I really cannot blame them

Apart from not being funny, what is wrong with any of that?
