Have a feeling tonight will be like the cauldron of noise it was a decade ago when Vardy scored that volley v Liverpool.

An atmosphere similar to an Istanbul, Glasgow, Rome, North London derby game.

it really was. those last 10 minutes whole stadium was GARY ROWETTS BLUE ARMEH and LEICESTER LEICESTER LEICESTER. great night out

There’s probably very few times a reaction to a manager has been quite like it was last night, at least on the South Stand side of the ground.

I said it in the Rowett thread, so don't want to repeat, but there's something about him I can back compared to previous managers. I have a sense that he will unite the fanbase a bit like Pearson did.

I'm more interested to know what decade the North London Derby was a cauldron of noise?  lol

The crowd did back the lads and the manager. Even at 2-1 down. No anti-board chanting. It was fully on the players and manager today.

By a relatively small number. Thousands sat silent.

Yet again KPFC backing the lads was deafening the bowl was bouncing, shame the protestors caused the squad to fall apart - jokes aside its so consistent that the protestors and union fs are the same people who make any effort to make noise, it feels like we're the only ones with any ounce of passion left

We moan about our own fans a lot - and rightly so.      But I thought QPR's away support was about as bad as it gets.

Must've been the quietist fans ever for those numbers.   Not a squeak out of them until they scored their first goal.     Then after the 2nd goal, and it's obvious we are so useless, then the mice get cocky and start piping up with the whole range of highly original "1-0 up, and you've f'd it up", "that's why you're going down", "is this a library", "is there a fire drill" etc etc.

I can't think of another fan base where such a low amount of fans actually sing.

Honestly it’s just cringey now.. looking around and down from the section, you can look across to sk1/2 who are seated and if it was a clapping competition we would do well. Their hands move and their mouths don’t, people just look gormless like they are watching a great action film and can’t take their eyes off it or the football is so dull they are in a tired trance. But either way 90% of the fanbase is so one dimensional.. :dunno:

Pull your head out of your arse kid, we would have sang the same cringey songs if the tables were turned and that was at Lotfus Road.

i know because I’ve been there and heard it for decades on the road.

always thought the fanbase was different in the 90’s those play off years. The atmosphere at Filbert Street was different. Don’t get me wrong with had seen some amazing nights at The KP but since we won the league in 2016 we seemed to attract a lot of muppets who think Leicester City FC was founded in 2016! Clappers at the ready and OAP’s sharing at their Werther Original’s at Away games. We’ve been a laughing stock for a few years now and it’s soul destroying to see the club deteriorate.

Not sure about this pal dont think they were bad at all and not sure why your crying about the songs they were singing as they were all well deserved.

What original chants do Lcfc sing at opposition fans?

We in L1 even started off with chants at the beginning for a change actually felt like the crowd were backing the players at parts so no excuse for them capitulating again.

Football in a library is sung within the first two minutes of every away guaranteed 🤣

Oh, I get the impression there are many! The game is dying/dead- it’ll  never get the old buzz back.

Look back at some of the scenes at Filbo street which were replicated 10 years ago during " that" period and some of the European  nights at KP

I cant see those scenes ever returning unfortunately.

My point entirely, we are no better or worse than any away following.

I said "We moan about our own fans a lot - and rightly so.".   As in ... I'm not defending us one iota.   I was at Loftus Road too.  And yes, we're crap too.

Just to repeat.  I said "We moan about our own fans a lot - and rightly so.".   I wasn't defending us at all.   I was more making the point, we're not the only sh*t boring fans!
