People like to talk up the Championship as being better than the prem in a lot of ways: "proper" clubs, "proper" fans etc.

Realistically it's just as fvcking shit as the prem. Atmosphere non-existent.

Clear thing better is no VAR. Clear thing worse is lack of cap on away ticket prices.

Yeah the game's gone in many respects, certainly for our generation that were brought up on the terraces. In the 70's and 80's you were a hooligan if you caved someone's scope in with an iron bar, in 2026 you're one if you swear in front of a woman. It's been sanitised beyond recognition, in reality the most important job a fan has is to pay to see his team and make as much noise as he can during the game, that's it really. In my day they were revered and labelled great die hard fans, now they're called happy clappers and ridiculed. Funny how times change eh?

But their attendances are half of ours, you maybe right, but its sad that its a struggle to find a quitier fan base.

I've done about 90% of all away games since Enzo took charge and struggle to name many grounds that were really any good. Cov like to make out they have some raucous atmosphere but they were only good when they were beating us, Plymouth were decent on the Friday night, Middlesbrough pretty decent in 1 stand but the rest really were bang average. Think the PL is void as pretty much everyone was battering so were in good spirits.

Was in g2 yesterday as had guests who needed to sit rather than stand.  Lots of people knock sk1 but from where i was sitting yesterday it sounded quality.  Noise for most of the game..  Nice one!

Realistically yesterday is your lot unless there's a change of ownership or hundreds of singers emerge and move in SK1 this summer. There's basically no more juice to squeeze out of the current set up, it was about as good as you could have hoped for yesterday.

Had a mate tell me he is moving out the family stand to SK1 full time. He has picked the odd game to try it out over the last two years.

Enjoy it at game when you get fans moving down from the back of SK1/G1 to stand with UFS. Had two lads who second half were really giving it some.

I can see similarities for Lloyd dyer and Steve Howard but for the life of me cannot work out who the chap on the left is supposed to be

Noticed that we didn't have the usual fire drill exit after 85 mins yesterday. Not as bad, anyway. Perhaps fans were engaged and really did think we'd get the winner.
