still is the players fault to a large degree and that's not me defending the recruitment policy and the tactics but if you can't string a coherent pass together or your stinking the club out for a long time like skipp has then you need to take accountability and some blame - Luke Thomas for instance has been outclassed under numerous managers in 3 divisions he clearly isn't good enough and that's putting it simply

I do completely agree with that to be fair. I just can't work out why we are asking those players to play like that when we know they can't! It just baffles me. Its like no one has watched their previous performances! Or those who have haven't had enough influence! Its so frustrating!

I reckon its because top and rudkin want to see leicester play a certain type of football (possessive) because they think that's the answer to our issues after all we won the league with Enzo playing that but they fail to realise we lack any quality to be able to conduct ourselves in that and we are in the third division where tactics like this aren't really compatible

Agreed.

Where we should be looking at the squad we have got and the league we are in and creating a style that is effective and enjoyable! I would probably give up the enjoyable for a whuke if it meant we ground out results! Our recruitment has not been good enough to play that way, and to play that way we are going to have to recruit well for many years before we start getting the squad we need, because as people have rightly said, you need £50 million players in every position to play the way we are trying to effectively!

Any stadium that needs a drum in it just proves how p1ss poor that atmosphere has become, it’s a football match, not a sound check with Ringo Starr.

Just the 19 years there's been a drum/drums in the ground.

Word on the attendance/Bums on seats yesterday.

1K Burton in a 3.3K away end.

Home end looked about 75-80% full so I reckon true attendance was around 23,500.

Means that, with general sale and other sales that it’s likely 3-4,000 ST holders didn’t turn up today.

Not entirely correct, the quadrant below the gallery was empty top half which is corporate i believe, the area of dark blue padded seats at top centre of main stand was practically empty and I counted about a dozen boxes not used.

So a lot of empty seats are the posh business parts as well as normal fans like us.

The corporate areas being low on uptake will hurt their finances as this is where match day money is made, not from us STH plebs.

Clocked that too, looked on picture I saw to be a handful at best in the corporate seats.

So what’s not entirely correct?

It doesn’t compare to Forest as their glory days were 2 generations ago.

So why make the same mistake Forest have or did?

We are already one generation down, particularly given the season ticket sales

Just a thought, if SK2 and 3 bothered to lend a hand in creating a some kind of atmosphere then a drum wouldn’t be needed..

(not a moan at yesterday by the way as there was some improvement)

85-90% of the ‘Kop’ has always been pathetic since the ground was built.

Sit there moaning all game without standing unless there’s a goal and rarely joining or starting chants.

Just seems an us against them mentality which makes the atmosphere ugly at the kop end.. trouble is we all want what’s best for the club but people show it in different ways..

10 years does not constitute a generation. Not sure what you mean about ST sales.

People are bored of these players, this style of play, losing and having their club put down by utter mediocrities.

Get fresh people in and you will see intrigue and interest. These failures aren't going to change.

Yep, no-one wanted this style of play again, after so many failures, yet here we are.

Martinball will not last more than a dozen games if we don't start winning, the fans will just be on the teams back within the first 30 minutes every game if we're passing round the back whilst continuing to fail to win games.

Even at 2-1 down yesterday, they were still doing triangles like it was a Sunday league friendly

Have to say it felt an improvement compared to previous times yesterday.  Given how far away I live and other commitments, I only get down a few times a year.

I've seen better games with worse atmospheres. Even the anger, particularly boos aimed at Okoli felt like something and there was more a constant hum.

There’s been a significant number of season ticket holders not renew replaced by first time season ticket holders.

What constitutes a generation for you?
