Couldn’t see a current thread for all things FPL so started this…

 

I’m on my fourth go at picking players for the first few GW’s.


Could League organisers whack their joining codes and links here when they get chance?

 

Sorry if here’s a current thread elsewhere I’ve been unable to source.

I'm logged in.

I've now tried to create a squad three times in a row, and it reverts to the blank team page every single time upon confirming my team name. Wtf? :dunno:

I had that. I think it was because my team name had been taken. But I had to go back 3 times and redo my team each time. It's shit anyway. I had Semenyo on the bench

Mine was my team name being too long, took the spaces out and it stopped doing this. Seems that rather than telling me it contained too many characters or just reset my team.

 

In other news Slot substituting the two full backs due a clean sheet bonus on 59:30 is a wanchor move lol I couldn't believe it!

It's working now. I suppose their servers were overwhelmed last night.

 

I don't see why they had to change the user interface (design).

 

Club crest creator is neat add-on, but where's the kit maker gone?

 

I know, it's not the same when your club isn'n't in the PL, interest is lower – but I have started the Leicester City FC league again.

I would never normally do this but I've wildcarded GW2 - mostly due to AFCON meaning we get 5 transfers GW16 and then the second wildcard in GW19. In hindsight I probably should have just played free hit but I picked my original team based on just GW1 and bench boosted.

The AFCON 5 transfers nonsense has ruined the game this year, there was an art to planning your team/transfers to work round things like AFCON and you gained good rank by doing it, now they've just given everyone a free hit basically. 

 

Perhaps I'm biased because the best bit of FPL for me is the strategy/planning of it.

Yeah totally agree. That’s why I’ve used my wildcard/bench boost so early. Planning transfers the right way from now though means can basically swap most of the team out in the weeks running up to/including GW16 anyway if things go wrong.

Every season I seem to have the top performing players filling the majority of my squads, yet I continue to finish closer to the bottom of every single league I’m part of.
