I think Chelsea just didn't offer enough to cause Arsenal problems and they were happy to soak any pressure up.

Arsenal are clearly not average. Last night they went into the game leading so everything was on Chelsea to do something but they didn't. I'd be fuming with that performance if I was a Chelsea fan. Arsenal aren't going to go all out looking for another goal, leaving themselves open, when they don't need too.

They're boring to watch in 90% of their games. They're not average for today's standards clearly but they're horrible to watch and lack any real cutting edge. That attacking line winning the league and potentially more trophies this season just wouldn't have happened years ago

League Cup 2 leg semi finals has been in place for donkeys years. For example we beat West Ham over 2 legs in 1964

I haven’t got a soft spot for them but your criticism doesn’t make sense to me, that’s all. If they’re as boring as you always say then why do you watch them? I don’t really watch many other teams but if I didn’t enjoy a specific team then I probably wouldn’t watch them. 
 

People say football is boring now/was better years ago. I feel Arsenal play more like it was years ago and people still say it’s boring.

Bradford did Villa over two legs as well didn’t they, not so long ago.

Yes they have been going on forever .

 

As I say if anything the biggest clubs would probably rather have the second leg scraped or the whole competition probably discontinued.

 

But the EFL make good money out of the competition.
