I think Perez did a lot of donkey work rather than being the donkey. Certainly wasn't lazy like Soumare for example

The most infuriating,  ineffectual and irritating player ever.

 

Infuriating that we paid half a Mahrez for him.  The most Brendan of Brendan signings and a bellwether of Rodgers' signings to come.  At that point in time we should have been aiming much higher.

 

Infuriating that he seemed to lose the ability to stay upright almost as often as he lost possession.

 

Infuriating that we had one big Perez shaped weak link in an otherwise good team.  Had we got that signing right, what might have been?

 

I mean even that murine face of his is bloody irritating.  

 

He did a job, just not very well.

When I think of donkey work I think of Okazaki. Perez was a tidy enough footballer and put it what I expect as the bare minimum of effort.

RVN sussed the Board and owners had no intention of buying any players or trying to remain in PL, but planned to asset strip the club as we see now. RVN knew it  Vardy knew it and current senior players know it, hence they want away or are pocketing their pensions. A planned exit strategy by KP.

Danny Ward, cost us a lot of points in the relegation season. Still can't believe Rodgers thought Ward would be the perfect replacement to Kasper. He only played like five games in three years, suddenly he becomes the number one.

And don’t forget his hip was part of the setting up of our goal for our one and only FA cup win. Part of that team - automatically takes him off the worst list for me.
