Update on my team. 1 Win away from div 4 and played a rivals game last night against a full derby 11 which was fun! Won 5-1 

 

Not played any champs yet lol.

I actually reinstalled Fifa 23. 

 

I didn't get this one and I guess I was missing it a bit, but there's no way I'd spend money on the new one.

 

Of course a few days after I got 23 back, the online servers for it were shut down 

 

Anyway, wasn't worried about playing FUT on it. Just transferring players to random teams and doing Champions League for a bit of fun.

To be fair, you are probably right.

 

I have only just reinstalled the game after about 3 months. 

 

Seems its changed for the better in a lot of areas.

 

Still never seem to bag any amazing cards.

It depends what your kids use online for. If it’s just gaming with their mates and you own the games already then you just need Xbox essentials, which is like £6.99 a month.

 

If they access the online games catalogue and download games when they like, like Netflix, then you need premium which is £10.99 a month.

 

If they want all of the above and access to newly released games when they come out then they need ultimate, which is £22.99 a month.

 

Have a look online at hot uk deals as occasionally they have deals for 3 to 12 month codes for different levels that are much more cost effective than paying monthly.

I just got around to trying out FIFA 16+infinity patch etc..  (Carranza's doing well in pre-season  )  Shame all it does is remind me that my hands hate using gampads

Used to be such a hot topic on this forum when I got here 10 years ago.

 

If I remember right(which I usually don't ), we even had two separate threads for each year's game. One for us here that played together in Pro Clubs and one for Ultimate Team and everything else.

 

Anyway, I'll give it a go. Might at least be fun for a little bit putting together a starting squad in FUT, but then of course, I'll actually have to play a game

Tried to giving that Football Life that is quite popular at the moment a go but I just think the gameplay sucks haha

So, I did download it and played it quit a bit over the weekend.

 

Jumped into FUT and remembered that my favourite thing was always starting off with a crappy team and slowly adding some better ones.

 

Maybe because it's now May, but they gave me Pirlo, Cafu and Ginola right outta the gate! I thought maybe they were just loans, but nope. Bought a few more players to fill my squad and I'm already at 87 rated.

 

I play Squad Battles and it's funny how short that is now. The matches take maybe what, 8 minutes to play? I remember when it took 20, because I knew I could squeeze 3 in an hour if I needed to at the end of the week.

 

Now it's only 16 matches. Wasn't it 40 at one time?

 

It's like EA realized that the worst part of the game is actually playing it. Respect to them for that 

 

Speaking of that, it's exactly how I remembered it, with cheating AI and punishing you for making your team better.

 

I played one Pro Clubs match and that was decent.

 

With all the stuff to do when you first start out, it kept me busy this past weekend.

 

I will play it, up until I start hating it, again.
