He might, but he was exceptionally poor today.

We cannot be having passengers for too long this season. Don`t know what we needs, but if he plays like that I would hope it is something that does not involve him starting. Maybe some time as a sub may help?

Fine. But no need to sod off. It’s a 46 game season and he is sat there at the end of the game with the miss on his mind, you can see it. Mav is a confidence player and Marti has to work his magic to get him back up.

Shocked by the negativity in this thread, we made several good chances where we should have been more clinical and we easily the better team. Cov are one of the better teams in the league. We’re gonna be alright

Good result I thought with what was a definite banana skin

Good game, they won the first half, we won the second

Mavs lost it months ago , no confidence or heart, didn`t surprise me when he missed the sitter and that cost us 3 points

From what? Relegation?

Promotion is won by points, points are won by goals.

Some shocking finishing has cost us there and I dont see how it can be seen as anything other than 2 points dropped.

I agree. We are building. Give Marti some time. We are hard to beat and have real grit about us. It will click soon.

I thought that was a decent performance, controlled the game and created a few decent chances, some better finishing and decision making and we could /should have scored 2 or 3 and won comfortably, not sure where the negativity is coming from, we got our wingers into play and in dangerous positions. Issue today was poor finishing and at times that little bit of quality on the final pass/cross.

Frustrating that we didn’t win but not too much too complain about, our patterns of play were streets ahead of previous games.

and? Does he want a cuddle? Christ mate, he is more culpable than anyone today and the others won`t get some gentle treatment.

Yes he needs assistance from the Manager and the team to get him back to his best, which was always somewhat inconsistent, as is often the case with wingers.

As I say, bench him, sub on and see.

I have to say, I’m pretty shocked by the response on here. Like it or not, Cov are one of the best sides in the division, especially going forward. We completely nullified an attack that was averaging 3 goals a game before today.

Stephy scores his tap in and we’re looking at a top, compact display, 3 points and everyone’s on cloud 9. It’s the finest margins at this level.

I thought we were alright. Nothing to write home about, but a solid performance in a tough game against one of the best sides in the league. We had the better chances and should have won, yes, but it’s no need for concern.

If anything I actually feel more confident about the rest of the season after today.

One of the best sides I didn't think much of them today to be honest

Like I said, I don’t get it. I’m certain he will come good at some stage this season. Just surprised 6 or so games in someone’s written him off. But you do you.

Feel the same , we’re a team still in transition with a few new players bedding in so still holding out hope they will click soon and at times we played

some good football.
Positives - Monga again looks quality, Carranza although wasn’t on long looks up for it

Negatives - Daka , Ayew playing out of position, Hamza looked off it.

I never said I wrote him off (sod off was a very reactionary thing) as he can be a game changer,  and always want players to come good. (Didn't keep my Vestergaard for President subscription going for years for nothing)

Was a now frustration, but I sincerely hope he gets back to his best

I could see improvements in the team and in individual players so credit goes to Marti. We are getting better and looking better, it's just a little hard to see where goals are going to come from.

Coventry worked really hard to keep us out all game and there Keeper made a few saves ad did Jakub.

Pluses, Jakub solid in goal. Winks and Soumare superb in midfield. Ayew ran himself hard all game Fats tried his best, And Monga superb when he came on.

Caranza done ok for a first game and James probably could have done better with his chance.

Allround a Draw was probably the right result and Cov still haven't won in Leicester for 25 years.

Mowbary summed it up well.

Although all I remember from Mowbray was being a very negative manager and not exactly playing all out attacking football so a bit rich him having a go for not going all out attacking 🤷‍♂️

each to his own, perhaps we watched different games. Our manager basically just said the same as me, he said "they started well, but we came into the first half strong for the last 5 minutes, then did really well in the first 20 mins of the second half"

They controlled the first half, pressed well , put us on the back foot, stormed down the wings a few times, just didn`t have an end product, we stood off and defended.

Lampard also said a point was fair when we should have won

They had the most chances, we had the best, a point was fair, but nobody from Cov could have complained too much if mavs hadn`t fluffed the sitter and we took the points.
