Fact is our owner doesn't have the deep knowledge of football coaching and managing. He relies on people like Rudkin and his mistake is he's not getting rid of all the Rudkins for some bizarre reason we don't know about. 

There are at least 3-4 crucial staff members that shouldn't be near the club. There's obvious incompetence, there's misconduct regarding finances and contracts, I don't understand why and how a private company keeps these employees in after such huge failures.

Winks is a prime example. He clearly wanted a move away. When it didn't happen he started celebrating goals again. He will be gone in the Summer unless we get Prem football. 

 

I don't think there are many managers in the world that could get this lot playing. And while that's the case I'd rather keep Marti and save the money it would cost sacking him. 

 

This season is going to be horrible but somehow we've got to put up with it and hope we can be shrewd in the transfer Market both in January and the Summer

what concerns me about marti is he still feels so far away from knowing the best squad making the same mistakes that cooper and ruud made last season.

 

Our left backs are tragic

Okoli is always better than faes

skipp is a lemon

Mavididi is more dangerous than ayew

daka isnt a good enough striker to get 20 goals in the champ

 

 

these are all lessons he should hav picked up early on

If a player is travelling from Hampshire it's another joke. Every single player should be Leicester based. If we can't even force this just relocate the team. We'll at least get rid of the clappers this way.

I don't think it's that much of a problem Winks has been fine since the window closed and played well

Don't think where players live is necessarily always a stick to beat them with, as I'd imagine most would associate Pearson sides with giving a shit and a huge amount of them still lived in the North West

Those sides were full of players with something to prove. Pearson got them in because of that. They had fantastic attitudes.

 

Our current players don't seem to want to prove they are good enough. It seems when we purchased them 'character' wasn't as much of a consideration.

Funnily enough this wasn't an issue under Maresca, it only became an issue whilst we had our worst ever manager in charge who seemingly had zero man management skills

Crucially they would have been identified under Pearson though - so if they have the requisite personality, live where they want.

Enzo papered over the cracks, if were to turn this around under this ownership (lol no) they need to back managers disciplinary action.

 

We may have a good season again but if the players can join with no skin in the game we’ll have the same problem.

 

It’s fine for good mangers will run out of steam, culturally we need to

reset, they don’t have to move to ****ing Belgrave but they need to be nearby at least ~ within an hour.

I disagree since Winks came into the side we have won twice. It makes me think him and a few others who were on the periphery before the window closed and since been reintegrated are a massive part of the problem, whether this has been Marti’s choice or a decision forced on him from his bosses remains to be seen.

I'm sorry but Enzo has gone on to be very successful at Chelsea. There isn't many managers out there that are successful at creating the kind of culture he does at football clubs. That's why he is at Chelsea and arguably being more successful than Potter and Poch. 

 

I don't see any replacement for Marti being the same quality as Enzo. In fact I fear we will roll the dice on another manager and find Marti was actually alright. I don't think we are in a position where we can afford to take that risk at the moment.

Agree to disagree, apart from Ben Marshall who'd of probably seen a positive change from leaving the North West, I think it probably just needs us recruiting the right personalities and characters to change the culture doesn't it.

Just as in any business when you are being successful a lot of things can get ignored, a lot of fans didn’t like Enzo’s style of play but put up with it because it worked and got the wins, as soon as things start going downhill less and less things gets ignored to the point it turns to nitpicking

Good point. I think we are all nitpicking because we want to understand why a Champions League finalist, a Belgium and a couple of Danish internationals, an FA cup winner/England u21 international etc etc can't win games in the Championship.

I think it's quite simple? If as an employee you commute from far away and you're performing it's absolutely fine. If you're underperforming the long distance commuting comes into the equation. Might not be the reason for poor performances but questions are raised no matter what.

James is absolute class however Winks turns it on if and when he can be arsed personally I would be happy for Winks to be sat with others such as VK, Faes, Soumare etc sat in the stands until they get the moves away they have been angling for for months if not years in a couple of cases.
