Cropwellfox Posted 23 January Posted 23 January This place is going to implode 1.45pm on Saturday when the starting XI includes L Thomas, Soumaré, Ayew, BDR and Hamza and doesn’t feature Page, while Evans not on the bench with 2 keepers selected. 3

We been blaming the last few managers but they have not been backed by the club. They are all been picking up other people’s rubbish team. We can only judge when the manager has club backing

A manager signs a contract often knowing they aren’t going to be backed financially and Marti should have done enough research to know this was going to be the case here. A manager’s job is to get the most out of the players they have, especially as they rarely get final say or lots of input into specific signings in this day and age. If you only judge a manager when they are backed, you’re essentially giving loads of money to a man who has not yet proven that they can get the best out of their players. To me, it’s fairly clear Cifuentes gets less out of this squad than the sum of its parts, therefore we’d be crazy to give him money to spend. Edited 23 January by Kitchandro 12

TeamRocket Posted 23 January Posted 23 January He should just give all the kids a go and not play the players who dont wanna play g For the club.
BrilliantFox Posted 23 January Posted 23 January We all know the club needs to be sold, but Marti is still a crap manager who has done nothing and shown nothing that warrants him staying as manager. 4

Kingy tapped him up to help him when marti goes? I'm not sure, he was one of those in charge after Brendan for a couple of games and made a complete hash of it. I'm sure he has good football knowledge but maybe a bit behind in the times. Kingy would have a lot of knowledge of what Stowelly is all about.
Popular Post whoareyaaa Posted 23 January Popular Post Posted 23 January We should have just got Rohl and Powel with King another mistake like when we got Cooper instead of Coberan Top and Rudkin are ****ing useless 8

Until the summer when a lot will be gone then change the manager and start all over again even if we are in division 1 ( which has a chance) 1
teblin Posted 23 January Posted 23 January A better manager would get better results with these players. No guarantees we appoint someone better. A good manager could help sort the whole club out. That said many people may have wanted Pearson out the season before we went up. When we had the bad run.

They won't let the manager sort the club out, its the Top and Rudkin show, failed to sack Rodgers before it's to late and got the 2 out of 3 manager appointments completely wrong, never mind signing players on ridiculous wages, they are happy to pay 8m/10m for Ayew over 2 years but won't pay 2m for the MANAGER, we are run by complete idiots. 1

Thing is both things can be wrong at the same time. Which is the horrible spiral we have ended up in.

Mickyblueeyes Posted 23 January Posted 23 January A good manager looks at the injuries. My midfield which has been one of the few good things he has stumbled upon is decimated. So perhaps change things. Maybe 3 at the back ? Maybe two up front. I don’t know, something. But playing Choudhury, Soumare or Page (I wouldn’t mind Page) in the James role is ****ing stupid.

Very true this, doing the same thing that isn’t working(with worse parts) and expecting different results is crazy. That said I think we’ll win tomorrow with a big if magic from Abdul or Mavs.

markko Posted 23 January Posted 23 January So another game. Disinterested players. No reinforcements. Injuries to key players. This is not Marti's fault. He seemed to think there would be a fresh face but nothing. I would not worry about getting rid he might just walk. I would not blame him. If we have to pay him off bang goes our.splash in the transfer market. No explanation or statement just silence. The team and fans need to stick together or we are in big big trouble.

The post match actions and reactions of some of the players according to fan's who braved it certainly adds credence to that possibility. Yes Marti has been dealt a relatively duff hand, but due to his own inadequacies he at present isn't getting the best out of them, and never will as he's unwilling.to change, adapt and try something different, even if that's just a 3-5-2 or going " route one" just to keep the opposition guessing. The concept of changing from his "mid table ways" isn't an option for him. @Pita said to wait until the summer and the natural ending of contacts clearing the decks then change the manager, on paper this seems to make some sense, but I don't think we can afford not to act now, once the points deduction hits and we are embroiled in an instant relegation scrap this already fragile and mentally broken team with this appalling out of his depth manager won't survive. (We are struggling now in our relatively 'pressure free' mid table position) We have to roll the dice and try something as I feel relegation to League One will near on destroy us. We can't survive on a league one income.

Would you be happy with Russle Martin because that's the pond we are fishing in

Parker Pen Posted 23 January Posted 23 January Marti is the master of his own and the teams downfall this season! The analysis by Dominic Wells on this Thursdays when you are smiling podcast is evidence enough that Marti is tactically inept and should have been sacked months ago. I honestly feel that results and morale would improve the moment he goes and takes his second rate staff with him. 2

Would you be happy with Russle Martin because that's the pond we are fishing in NO ... If the B-Tec "Rodger's Wanna Be" Russell Martin arrived as our manager I would take a sabbatical until he too was sacked, I hate him nearly as much as Rodger's himself. Russell Martin is a fraud, and I detest is brand of so called "football" Who could and would come here? Like our club I too have no idea. (Me because I don't run in those circles, the club because history has shown them to be clueless incompetent tw@ts on that front) But most importantly I think it's more of a case of getting Marti's influence and possibly his very presence as far away from team for a start which in turn could offer some benifit. Some have said give it King until the end of the season, that would certainly give us the removal of Marti's influence, but his would only stand a chsnce of working if King was allowed to be his own man with his own ideas, and they simply have to be different to Marti's current 'catalogue of errors' which are proving at present to not be working. 2
