Gary Rowett would be abysmal. He seems a good guy and former Fox, but managing us would be too much for him. The most likely option that Rudkin and Aiyawatt are going for is either Mowbray, McClaren or Hughton I would have thought.

Why would the job be too much for Rowett but not Mowbray?

The more I look at available options, the more I’m leaning towards him.

He has history of digging teams out the shit. A positive, energetic motivator who has shown he can galvanise a broken squad.

Also prefers quick purposeful football.

Knowing us it’s highly unlikely we even consider him, but we most definitely need his type of character right now.

Just stop, man.

For your own sakes.

We'd never consider him and frankly he probably wouldn't consider us.

Not a single manager on the shortlist besides Ange Postecoglu that I'd take.

Same people suggesting some of these crap managers are battering Andy King? Andy King has the potential to be much better than 99% of them.

It’s a long shot but the main sticking point is Spudkin and Bottom won’t have heard of him.

I sort of feel we might need a really nasty old school bastard to come in a give these spineless gutless willy pullers a good kicking. They have had it too easy for too long, they are losers, born losers, everything about them says losing. It needs to change from a basic mentality thing. They need to be put in a position where they have pride to prove us wrong.

When you compare him with the rest of the options, of course I would.

So you think that Ange would:

A: do a better job over the next 5 months than Rowett or Mowbray?

B: even consider coming here?

Ange 😂😂😂

Sounds ideal for our current defensive stability.

Sam Allardyce😂 is where we're at.

They don't stand a chance, FT will abuse them as soon as they pick Ayew, Vesty, Soumare, Luke Thomas, Winks...........

Personally, we should appoint King or another interim until the end of season so the new manager has a cleaner slate in the summer.

You can't honestly believe Henriksen would ever realistically be on any shortlist.

You know better.

It'll be a boring household name that inspires zero excitement in anyone.

Replacing Rudkin was a lie to keep us quiet for a while, it's not happening, Top and Rudkin will pick the replacement and it'll be the same rubbish they always pick.

Enzo was a fluke.

As I’ve just said to @Muzzy_no7 of course it’s highly unlikely we even consider him.

But I just look at the availability list Finners, and he is about the only one that intrigues me because of the type of job he’s done in the past.

You have a chunk of managers available that you know won’t touch us. Then you have a chunk of managers that might come across as realistic, but are probably not the right character in our current state.

But if Collomosse is correct, and as you’ve stated yourself, it seems the road might lead towards Mowbray or Rowett.

I highly doubt Ange is on the shortlist.

It'll be a list of out of work managers with a decent amount of EFL experience who are thoroughly underwhelming. There'll be no creative names, no flashy names, no hipster names, no Premier League names. It'll be dull AF.

I also think Ange would probably consider us too far to drop even despite his recent wobbles.

I'd take him, though. Spurs being a step too far for him isn't really saying much, doesn't make him an awful coach and frankly he was always doomed at Forest. He was a ridiculous hire straight off the back of Nuno and he never stood a chance.

But that's where you're going wrong.

It won't be someone that intrigues you. It won't be someone that intrigues anyone.

Finished 5th in his first season in the PL despite losing his team's best player in the summer.

Won multiple league titles and won the Europa League last year.

I suspect it will be Andy King's if he actually wants it and keeps us up and that any new owner's will be told he's replaceable.

There’s been 3 managers since Enzo. Surely they’re due another fluke?

Based on what?! :D

Have you looked at the career histories of the managers we're linked to? King doesn't need to do much to surpass them.
