Nolucklcfc Posted 26 January Posted 26 January It needs to be someone that can at least get us organised defensively, we haven’t been that for years. Even under Enzo, we looked shaky when teams did have a go at us. 3
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Come on guys, the thread title is realistic appointments. We're going to get Turdi Turdifootball from Turdistan.

Same people suggesting some of these crap managers are battering Andy King? Won multiple league titles and won the Europa League last year. That was with a full pre season. Dont think he’s the type to come in at this point in this predicament and move things forward. Thats why im leaning towards a Rowett or Mowbray.

teblin Posted 26 January Posted 26 January I think it'll be Rowett, might be wrong. Not saying thats who I want.
Popular Post Dickov22 Posted 26 January Popular Post Posted 26 January Andy King is Mr nice guy. He’s also been here under much of the dross we saw under RVN and now under Marti. A team who look unfit / disinterested and cannot defend to save their lives. I hope he doesn’t get it Pearson the dream choice for me. But unlikely. It HAS to be someone who puts a rocket up them. 5
Grebfromgrebland Posted 26 January Posted 26 January We should just let the players sort it out amongst themselves. 1

Oh dear. Ange despite his defensive flaws, is a great man-manager and captivates his players to get behind him. Edited 26 January by BrilliantFox

JonnyBoy Posted 26 January Posted 26 January can people stop mentioning Pearson, he isn't coming back 4

He kinda did the 2nd time and it took 2 seasons to get to the championship winning team. 1

RVN and Marti were apparently youth focused. We need more than that. We need a leader who can rebuild a squad of strong characters. We have a massive mentality issue and we need a strong, experienced head to tackle this challenge. 3

To an extent but the club is so much bigger than it was back then and this current bunch of players are paid eye watering sums of money, compared to the likes of Beckford and Mills, etc. 1

Carsley a better coach than manager of senior players IMO, always looked reserved/quiet in perssers. He may be very different with players behind the scenes I don't know
VintageFox73 Posted 26 January Posted 26 January I think who ever they decide on has to sell the long term plan ( if there is one ) Give them time to build a squad say over 3 years and stick to it. On that list , id give Gerrard a bash especially at this level and if it takes us another 2-3 seasons to go up so be it ! Lets just get some stability again and it could be a nice little project for him...Not adverse to getting Big Nige either, hes knows the club and certainly wont take any prisoners . Whilst im here , i would like to apologise for my post on Saturday it was bang out of order and very insensitive of me . up the citeeeeh !
