Looking at the current odds can’t get excited by any of them tbh. Whoever comes in needs to get the players fit and running and stop the tippy tappy pedestrian brand of football. Odds for Ralph Hasenhuttl have dropped a little I don’t mind him despite the 9 0 debacle

Also needs to happen relatively quickly, we don’t have a month to spend bringing someone in and then another month for the players to get used to them and get fit. Going to be interesting to see if our useless board can hire someone within a week or two and make the signings we need in the window at the same time(spoiler alert they absolutely won’t)

Just need to get someone on a contract until the end of the season. Stop dishing out 3 year deals.

What's Nigel Worthington upto?

Wrong Nigel

I like how everyone is ignoring the fact that Brussel Martin is the most likely.

Yeah, I agree. Rowett would be bad.

Big Nige isn't coming back.

It would be nice to get him in for a couple of weeks just to kick the players' arses and shove Rudkin's head down the toilet though.

Id take him in the technical director role. Someone that knows its all about people's personality as well as talent. This is half the reason were in this position, too many bad apples that couldn't get motivated for their benefit.

Russell Martin would be a disaster.  I don't actually think he's a terrible manager, but he's a project manager - he has his style of play and is very inflexible with it.  Parachuting him in mid season with a squad that doesn't suit his style is stupid (our defence is completely not built for his style, we'd concede shit loads!).

We need an adaptable manager who can look a this squad and try and get the best out of it.  Maybe Ole wouldn't be a bad shout, he seemed to at least get the morale up at Utd and playing for the shirt - which at least would be a start.  These players need to try and mend fences with the fans, running around and actually looking like they are trying is at least a start.

We’re not going to appoint Russell Martin.

Carrick is making noises he doesn't really apparently want to be a football manager long-term. That's how worried he is about being approached and seduced by silver-tongued-Rudders.

Reckon this 8 might give our XI a decent run for their money.
