Or do the unthinkable and look abroad. Hasn’t done Middlesbrough, Norwich, QPR, Bristol City and Swansea any harm. 1

We need someone with pulling power, gains respect and wants a project... that pond is small imo we are in freefall. Edited 4 February by whoareyaaa
Leicesterpool Posted 4 February Posted 4 February Seen that Robbie Savage been linked to Blackburn job, wonder if he soon could be linked here too. Massive jump from national league to championship.

notnow john Posted 4 February Posted 4 February My favourite Savage story. During his spell as a pundit in the 2010 World Cup in S.A. he struck a friendship with David Moyes and most mornings they went out for a run together, Robbie became fascinated with David’s watch that displayed their altitude as they travelled across the high veltd. On one occasion he asked his usual question, “ how high are we now Dave” Moyes replied “Robbie we’re on the beach “ 1 2

We've had more success in this division with up and coming lower league managers. Brian Little,Martin O'Neil, Mickey Adams Big Nige.Got to be the way forward Challinor at Stockport well worth a punt 7 promotions in 14 seasons Known as a "promotion specialist," He has never finished outside the play-off places in his 14 full seasons as a manager. He has expert knowledge of lower league Players capable of stepping up. 1

Like him or not, he still has star power. I also think that our hopeless squad might get a genuine new Manager bounce from Gerrard rocking up at Seagrave. He is still far from an ideal choice, but I still see more value in him than a Rowett or Mowbray, especially considering the type of players we currently have. Like they did with Ruud? Right? 1 1

STUHILL Posted 5 February Posted 5 February 5 hours ago, Wink84 said: Like they did with Ruud? Right? I understand the argument, but no Manager was ever going to keep Leicester in the Premier League. We were absolutely honking. You could say the same thing now, but with the individual players we have currently, and the woeful standard of this league, there is no way we should be certain for relegation like we were in the Premier League. Who are your alternatives? I personally don't see Rowett or Mowbray getting anything out of this squad, just like I didn't see Cifuentes. They need a lightning bolt, not just another journeyman from down here. I think Lampard is a similar type to Gerrard, and I am sure most would have sniffed at him before he got the Coventry job. Don't get me wrong, I see issues with someone like Gerrard, but I think he gives us a better chance of a new manager bounce (much needed one) and also someone who won't take crap from the divas in the squad. Not ideal, but from the list available, he is my choice so far.
