Any idea what a par second innings score prediction would be on this track? I know during the Aus India test batting improved as time progressed

Yes and once again those at the top will be blaming the county game, and call for less county's to "make the competition stronger". Even though most of these players have hardly played any county cricket over the last few years. They're much too busy being rested and playing golf.

I logged on here for an alternative to the bbc Sport knee jerk reactions and this is what I read. Pitch is doing a bit I think and the bowlers didnt looked under prepared in the first innings!

Michael Vaughan record Smiths reaction gave it away?

He shouldn't have walked. He pretty much gives himself up. You don't walk if you aren't out.

At least the Aussies now need the highest score of the game to win it.

It's now a question of will they be as poor & can England replicate their bowling effort.

Looking at the comments online, I'm in the minority in preferring the tnt commentary team. However, what a boo boo in having next to no crowd sound.

Switched to the NZ Sky coverage for the crowd atmosphere - but that has Vaughan on Comms - who I cannot stand.

What was I saying about nothing silly 🤪

The same 'silly' approach brought them a 50 run partnership.

If we don't make breakthroughs before the ball softens we are in trouble. But the Australian batters are scared of the pace and aggression of Archer and Wood. It's not over yet.

Doesn't look good for Crawley and Root at all. Both look like it's in their heads.

Brook is a concern for me. He has become very dismissive of any bowling & dances down the track too often, T20 style. No doubt he has talent in abundance, he just needs to reign it in a bit.

Having just seen the controversial decision, I'm far too indignant for this time of day.

If we lose this narrowly, those two "murmur" DRS decisions going against us will have played a role.
