1. Brought Nigel back.

The end….

In seriousness, off the pitch Vichai was much more charitable and better for the community.

It feels weird not putting Ranieri as a good decision but I feel most people felt that was a fluke and not through good judgement, if we are looking for decision made that were strategically made.

I would say Puel as well, and the staff he had like Macia. He got a lot of stick but he stabilised us after the title aftermath and set us on the road to doing well again before Rodgers, Aiyawatt and Rudkin destroyed it all.

Which was the Birch who told them to after they made sure he went beforehand.

Which reminds me they were even going to get rid of the Birch at one point 😂

This is a great idea but why do we plan things 3/4 games in advance ? Even the protest last year. Get a draw today (sorry, I know, highly unlikely) and the numbers dwindle. Like it or not, some people will be swayed by results.

People have the right to chose what they feel is right for them. If you decide to boycott a game, then that's is your decision. If you decide to go then that's their choice. Neither is wrong for an individual

Of course they do, if the seals want to attend and clap thats entirely upto them.

Anyone going to this match is as bad as any other part of the club right now and can follow KP out the door.

Think that's a bit extreme - I've only seen talk of a boycott of the match here on Foxtalk so this has to be publicised far more widely if a boycott is to have any chance of a meaningful effect.

As it stands, a majority of the fanbase will have never heard of any planned boycott

You made it clear that you think those going are doing something wrong.

While I completely sympathise with your wish to boycott, this turning on other fans many of you have taken to is as poisonous as some of what is going on within the club.

In my opinion, they are.

They are supporting KPFC, applauding consistently bad performances and facilitating the continued destruction of our club.

Just an opinion though, don't let it ruin your new year.

Oh my days. I didn't realise I'm not a proper fan. Some of the absolute Sxxt being posted is tantamount to living in a dictatorship of fans of a  football club.

If you want to vote with your feet fair play to you. However you cannot suggest that those who do attend are not "proper fans".

Yes I rock up as I have since 1968 but that's my choice, I don't need stupid inane comments about what i should and should not do.

I also think that club is not being run properly at the moment.

So criticise the owners and the club hierarchy by all means. Just appreciate that the reasons people attend football matches is very complex.

Unfortunately, this boycott is asking you to pick a side.

Option 1 (the boycott) - the fellow fans who are trying to do something to affect change. This is currently those boycotting (no matter how many or how few there are) and, whilst you might not believe it’s a perfect approach or your preferred one, it’s the only one on offer for this particular game

Option 2 (the club) - now that a boycott has been called, anyone in the stadium is taking a stance in opposition to that and, de facto, in support of the way the club is running currently. Those in charge will look at how many show up and make a judgement from that on the level of support they have to continue as they are right now

So you might not like feeling like someone is asking you to do something that changes what you usually do (that’s what a protest is), but if you attend then you’re making your personal statement that what is currently going on is fine.

Anyone that doesn’t do the boycott sacrifices any credibility they would have in calling for anything to change and will be in their own little way culpable if things don’t change and continue to get even worse from here.

How has this been advertised? So nobody who turns up could have avoided being aware of it occurring?

Just a quick scroll through Facebook shows that the people wanting change and calling for this boycott are sadly in the minority. So sad that Top and his board can actively destroy the club without any kind of challenge from large sections of our fanbase. I really don't understand it. I keep seeing comments like "the people wanting a boycott have no brain cells". Incredible irony.

You’re being a bit pernickety there but, of course, I mean anyone who is consciously aware and decides not to.

The boycott will be publicised on fan

podcasts, social media, forums, via word of mouth and was referenced by The Merc yesterday I believe. I’m not sure what more those behind it can do outside of that.

It raises an interesting point as I think about it though. There are still a sizeable number of people who won’t see/hear about it. These are the types that just attend the game each week and don’t really interest themselves with much LCFC-related content between those times.

By nature, those people often tend to be less critical of Top and have less strength of feeling about the problems. Those people are a problem, though, because they are often uninformed (because they don’t consume as much LCFC-related information) and passive. If things were left to them, the club would get away with all sorts and there’d be no fan pressure on anything.

I was being a bit of a pedant (Character flaw) but as you have acknowledged, the messaging cannot reach everyone.

Those who don`t get the "memo" will therefore be unfairly lambasted, and maybe that is the cost of revolution :dunno:

I do agree with the boycott, it sends the necessary message.

Not sure I agree with the bit in bold though, but will leave it there for now

Spot on. The people that are branded "not real fans" are the ones that keep themselves informed and are aware of the trajectory the club is on. Many of our fanbase just turn up to the stadium to "back the lads" and have absolutely no idea or even a slight interest into what's going on in and around the club. This is the argument I don't understand. These people claim to be "real fans" but surely a real fan shows an interest in the club that goes more in depth than a 90 minute football match once or twice a week.

It will be a very small demographic of supporters who will even know this boycott is taking place or take it seriously.

Yep. The majority are happy for Top and his board to stay forever.

I think personally you would have to have caveman mentality if you are unaware..

People are quick enough to know when tickets go on sale, quick enough to know when shirts are released, quick enough to stand in a queue and pay for a signature card for carranzas autograph so I don’t believe for one second that people are unaware about this..

Unwillingness to compromise or see the others point of view certainly exists on both sides.  :(

Hark at the high and mighty on here.

In 10 years time the majority of those calling out Happy Clappers & KPFC foot soldiers won’t be going.

Very true

At this rate there won’t be a club to attend a game at.

True but as I keep saying, im yet for any Top supporters to give me any good reasons why they still support him? What do they see that gives them confidence that he can sort the club out? I'm willing to listen to other point of views if there is rational to back up their opinions

Season ticket holders around me already saying they aren’t renewing next year. These are guys who were at filbert street and not just 10 years in. There is such an apathy at the moment it’s really worrying.

Wonder what the waiting list for a season ticket will be at the end of the season. Next season I can envisage half season tickets coming back

Perhaps hackneyfox can give you some good reasons.. (this will be met with silence as it always is the moment you ask anyone their opinion)
