Sounds like Ireland need a big reset and change in the squad now ?

Not really. They're kinda doing it, that's part of the issue. The World Cup is next year and Ireland have a track record of peaking pre-world cup to an extent that's practically a meme. I think they're deliberately trying to work on this in advance, bringing in new faces and developing experience. Cultivating depth.

I do think that a lot of defences have worked out how to defend against Ireland's style of attack and that their effectiveness is going to drop off a little unless they get back to the drawing board but the idea of them needing a whole new generation of players is a bit over the top. They have one of the best youth pathways in the world, certainly pound-for-pound given their population, they'll be fine.

Plus, in fairness, France would have smashed pretty much everyone in the world last night, especially in that first half, they're an extremely good side and they were very, very up for it.

Scotland's year! 2027

Not over yet, wonder if they take the 3 points for a draw if they have the chance

For the record, anything less than England winning by a record score is abject humiliation for your lot and you're absolute shit.

Just getting that in now.

Wales being dog muck isn't as funny any more and getting a bit boring. Ultimately it does just make the tournament weaker overall.

Not sure it’s fair to make that statement when playing against this current ENG squad.

There is plenty of talent there but short of confidence and when things are going against you it’s bloody hard to fight out of it.

With a full year under Tandy they will be in better position next 6N & going into WC

Sport is great isn't it.

Really helps elevate your weekend.

Sometimes you do wonder why you bother.

NB. Don't think this will be a record score, but it will be pretty crushing.

Some truth in there but it's also overly optimistic.

This just isn't a good generation of Welsh players. The WRU completely disassembled everything that made the players that had Wales a force in the competition for 15 odd years.

You could hire Andy Farrell and give him a couple of years with our lot and we'd still only be competing with Italy and Scotland for the bottom half of the table.

Ooh for sure you’re in a perfect storm on & off the field currently but you do have to be slightly optimistic as there are some bloody good names there still & a good age.

As you say Strength in depth sadly will hold you back in making quick in roads at climbing out the on field issues thou.

Your 6Ns is against ITA & after today SCO, small steps

This England team has a load of talent in it, but when you forget the tap in a tap and go....one commentator hopefully queried if he'd got a foot to it, but on the replay nowhere near. Just a go. Not sure how Wales go about this now. Have to get some points on the board any way they come.

All jokes before kick off aside, I was expecting more fight than this.

In conversations with people during the week I said I basically expect England to be ahead by a couple of scores around the hour and to pull away to about a ~25 point lead come the end. Comfortable overall but with a bit of battle from Wales.

I thought we'd kick on from some credible losing performances against Argentina and New Zealand and with a bit more time under Tandy we'd be better than people were expecting in this tournament on the whole. Definitely think it's within this group to beat Italy and probably even Scotland at home.

But this has been embarrassing. The yellow cards obviously didn't help but they're clearly just not at the races. Which I understand, need to remember this group of players were ready to strike up until yesterday. But still. You want to see a bit more anger and fire in the performance.

If we bounce back with a good reaction in a credible loss to France I can still see us just about grasping fourth maybe given Scotland and Italy look very mid and we're at home. But wouldn't put money on it.

@Finnegan that should perk ya w/end mate actually showing that fight you wanted and in the period when I thought ENG would cause havoc when the bench started to empty.

Take it and smile fella 😂 👍
