We will go bust before we’re back. If we come back at all.

Next to come from KP will be lack of revenue due to lack of paying customers... because KP see us as customers more than supporters.... and KP cannot seem to understand why people do not want to pay to watch the under preforming ... over paid dross being served up on a weekly basis

From June 2026, WE HAVE NO MONEY.

NONE.

And outgoings of around 50m.

It's ostrich behaviour from 99% of City fans. I don't think it's clear to most or people don't want to face it. Our entire existence rests on selling 50m quid worth of players this summer - just to exist.

And this is it. We will have to sell any saleable assets players and facilities to just keep the club functioning.

At the end of the season the EFL will likely put us into an embargo, because I think it’s likely we’ve breached again, and when it looks like we’re gone, we will be heading to breach league 1’s FFP regulations, so will likely enter next season with an embargo, potentially points deductions, and the clubs outgoings will end up being worth more than the club itself. So we will have to start selling assets just to make ends meet, we probably won’t have much of a squad to put out, made up of whatever is left of this squad and academy players….. then comes the redundancies, failing to pay staff and bills and ultimately administrators coming in.

Make no bones about it, relegation will spell the end of this club. The only potential hope is that administration leads to new ownership, which I think we will have plenty of suitors as we would be a bargain, and potentially good story for a “turn around”….. but that’s literally the only glamour of hope we have.

I think at this point, administration and a new owner coming in and starting again even if it was in say, League 2 is a positive outcome if that is what happens.

We are now at a point that it is all about just having the club to support still, ideally in the EFL as opposed to a phoenix club having to start in the regional leagues and losing the clubs history.

I agree.

From what I’ve heard the EFL are now genuinely concerned about us, so I don’t think they would accept a “phoenix” club scenario…. So I imagine it could be a similar scenario to Rangers, where we go into the none league pyramid and have to work our way back up.

The situation is so dire, that as you say, if someone said to me, that we would go down, go into administration, and end up in nine league but with new ownership and our Leicester city, I’d take it….. because I think that’s the scenario we’re in.

I know. Therein lies....

And then you realise we were once selling a single player for 50 + million .... now the entire squad wouldn’t make that ... Top and Rudkin have painted themselves into a corner with poor appointments, buying past it players on massive wages, players who are not up to it and their shambolic mis management of the club is beyond comprehension

Why do you think that a phoenix club wouldn’t be allowed? It’s usually what happens when a club goes completely out of business. The FC United of Manchester one is an outlier being a protest club to an existing club.

But I am thinking more Bolton/Portsmouth. Neither left the football league, kept their history and got new ownership and are at least positive for their future.

Yup. I think in less than 12 months we won't exist in our current form. The raise and collapse of Leicester City FC will be talked about for future generations. We'll be the ones that said "we saw it all".

Sad that we're heading that way and I hope I'm wrong but poor ownership and direction of the footballing side for many years has brought this likely scenario.

Rudkin should have gone in the first relegation. Top needs to sell and move asap.

At least we have a training ground to flog to Marinakis on the cheap...

I'm unsure if the specifics, but both were bought out of administration. So, same club..

Our situation will be more akin to Rangers, where the club basically goes out of existence and it will be at the EFL behest to allow a.new club to take a placement league 2 - as the jocks did with Rangers.

Tbh, we will be very fortunate if that happens and we will be eternally grateful to the EFL. I think it will happen btw - the EFL will play ball with a newly formed club. It's a great story after all for their brand..

We wouldn't however be playing at the KP. As the Khunt will never relinquish that. KP owns that outright.

Rudkin should never have been in charge of the academy, let alone his current role!

Yeah so to be clear, my hope is that we can be bought out of administration when it comes, like Bolton and Portsmouth.

But surely Rangers is a phoenix club? What is the difference otherwise? They are also a bigger draw in their relative league system than we are.

I just see it as either being bought out of administration with our current history or the club goes bust and another starts somewhere down the non-league pyramid.

I think between Fatawu, Nelson and Monga, we wouldn't be a million miles off but yeh beyond that, we have very few saleable assets. Utterly abhorrent

I'm.gonna have to look this up, because I'm not sure you can go into adminstration if you don't owe any money. We are going insolvent. We haven't any money to operate.

Adminstration is surely when the creditors call in their loans and effectively take over the assets to try get their loan back. Same as a mortgage provider taking your house.

We will just cease to function. And hopefully a newly formed club will be gifted a league position by the EFL. And presumably we'll have to play at Northampton or Notts County or Cov for a short while.

In terms of, I don’t think the EFL like you said would want up to cease to exist. Perhaps the remedy is to drop to league 2 and start again, completely fresh. The only issue is, we’re falling from a much greater height than any club before us….. Derby nearly went bust, and they’ve not got anywhere near the financial output we have…. I’d say we lose more in natural wastage yearly than Derby are worth as a club.

So, I just can’t see a scenario where we survive this…… our only hope is administration, new ownership, potential relegation to league 2 and a complete overhaul. Stripping the club right back to basics.

Not sure myself ... Fatawu is a one trick pony ... far to inconsistent, Nelson has promise but needs to learn, Monga is unproven and we have seen a few like him before who have never fulfilled their potential so a gamble purchase.... so I would say nearer 30 than 50 million

I'm going off on tangents but starting to to think of the logistics.

A season or two at Notts County will be necessary as the only viable stadium in Leicestershire that could be repurposed for professional football relatively quickly is Leicester Road, Hinckley.

It'll take years to extract the stadium off the grubby hands of KP

Well that's bollocks isn't it. If we sold Fatawu and Monga we wouldn't be far off 50m. The wages saved by dossers like Dakar and Ayew would be a lot too.

Bullshit ... who are the potential buyers for these players .... every club is well aware we are in financial trouble so will be making take it or leave it offers ... Daka and Ayew contacts were up anyway so their wages would not have been in the finances for next season

This is bollocks…… Fatawu has been awful, we will be lucky to get £20m for him, and Monga? Seriously? You think those two will generate £50m?

We do not have £50m worth of players to sell. A relegation will mean we won’t be allowed to negotiate and we will have to accept bids regardless. It’s likely we will be placed under a transfer embargo, so we will have little choice but to just sell players for whatever to get them off the wage bill and out of the club.

Again, another example of not quite grasping the situation…..

We definitely have a lot of fans who are happy, or don't care if we go down just so we are a seen as a big fish in a smaller pond.

They said that about the Championship lol

In a perverse way it's been a relief to see other teams not treat us with 'respect' like we did for most of Enzo's season. We're the most rotten mix of being easy to beat and seen as a scalp by that 'small pond', and I fully expect the same would apply in League One, if we're even still functioning as a club this time next year.

It's going to be grim. There will be no bouncing back in our current form. KPFC types felt vindicated last time when we romped this division, but there'll be nowhere to hide when those away fans celebrating an easy win in the corner each week are from Bromley, Cambridge and Mansfield.
